i couldn't careless as long as i still pay 100 a year im good. I do watch a lot of belabor and fight replays so for me it is worth it. i love the interviews and the build up to the fights is a good bonus.
I doubt that decision needs to ratified in a board meeting, it’s more a working level. John skipper would be the key man.
Eddie can have his say but won’t be the main man in any decision at all. If you watch his interview he didn’t indicate it was going to happen at all, he only suggested it could be done in that way. In fact all indications he gave was that there was no change in the foreseeable future as the main 2020 objective was to further gain momentum of subscribers.Agreed! What I was saying earlier was even though Eddie Hearn has some influence over at DAZN; Yet he cannot make unilateral decisions such as raising the subscription prices on consumers without the expressed consent of both John Skipper and DAZN's majority shareholders.
Let me explain it to you again. Eddie Hearn sits on the board of DAZN. Therefore, his voice counts and is heard. Have they had that discussion before in the past; I'm pretty sure they have? Can we expect another price hike in the future; Most likely we will? However, until the board; Which includes both Eddie Hearn, John Skipper and the majority shareholders all vote to ratify it. Then the price shall remain the same.

Let me tell you something. This is something they've already discussed. Eddie is out there letting people know it's coming. So when they increase it to $35 a money people will say well at least it's not $50 like Eddie wanted. He's already had that discussions with DAZN and his input was given. How else would he know the subscription, views, and churn rate. That's not information a guy who's solely making boxing decisions (as you claim) needs to know.Let me explain it to you again. You're crazy if you think Eddie doesn't have a say in what DAZN does in America. They've trusted him with their American boxing strategy. Nobody at DAZN has the purse strings that Eddie has. Eddie has shares in DAZN.You misunderstood me. I said that Eddie Hearn was put in charge of the boxing content on DAZN platform. It's just like Bob Arum being in charge of all of the boxing content on the ESPN network.
So, Hell yeah Eddie has some say. His voice does count for something. All I am saying is he doesn't have the final say because he is not the boss. John Skipper and DAZN's majority shareholders are. They have the final say in a price hike/increase not Eddie Hearn.
Does he have a say in that?
No he does not. DAZN is more than just a boxing or combat sports platform. It's a sports platform that streams many other sports besides boxing. Eddie Hearn was just put in charge of all of its boxing content on the platform that's all.
Harder for a person to come up with $100 at a time than $20. Most Americans can't come up with $500 in an emergency.

The $20 a month people are those people. Charge $50 a month and they'll illegally stream. With PPV those costs are delayed a month out on your cable bill. You don't have to come up with it at once.
I pay the annual, and I still will ****ing cancel if they increase it out of principle.
Well, he can have fun with that one because he'll definitely lose at least one subscriber with me. I won't be paying no $50 a month for an online streaming service.
Casual fans only see big fights and there is a lot of casual fans. Hardcore fans are the only ones that will consistently pay.
They might get away with that 50 dollar proposal for those big fights. PPV is around 70 so I can see his point.
I don't think there's ANY chance they bump the rate up not 10, not 20, but 30 dollars.
DAZN has a pretty weak first month n a half of the year, but the Feb. 29th card that is taking shape makes up for it.
I think they'll have an even stronger 2020, building on what was a great 2019 for them.
But if they were to increase the price to 50 bucks a month, surely they'd go out of business.
Word is that DAZN will make a play when the NFL rights are up for grabs in the US to get games on Sunday afternoon.
The NFL would never consider putting one of the Sunday conference packages on DAZN. What's been discussed is putting Sunday Ticket on DAZN starting in 2022. Impossible to say if DAZN will win the bidding.

If that happens the monthly cost will definitely go up.
I’m happy with the first year subscription. There were 5-6 fights I would have normally paid PPV money for that I got for the yearly price. The interface has improved and the production quality is getting better. They need new announcers for the big fights but I think that will come down the line.
like you do to how many numbers Floyds done?
Or How you do with Floyd in skinny jeans with boots past his knees?
What does this thread have to do with Floyd?
You must fantasize about him a lot. To be bringing him up in completely unrelated threads.

I picture some of these guys literally jerking themselves off to the latest business move.
Lol these guys are so gay. I like to imagine they have Eddie Hearn and Al Haymon foam fingers, too.
"Oh, these guys I've never met in my life are getting money. I'm so pumped about it."
I think what they are trying to do is minimize the administrative overhead of people who sign up for a month, then close it out and sign up later for another month and all that back and forth is probably a headache on the administration side. Ideally, a year subscription as the only option would eliminate all of that but they are kind of doing that if they go to the high monthly fee option to avoid on and off fans.
Yeah, I get it. It's just weird their whole thing was "buh bye PPV" then they want $50 a month. I'm still paying $10 and that seems fair to me. I pay ten for Showtime as well but at least they have softcore **** that looks like it was real **** once but all the wiener and vag all got edited out.
:wank:
Ooooh, business models, ugh.....
Charge 'em DAZN, charge 'em....
