Styles make fights.
Coming to Crawford is not the right thing to do when going against him from what I have seen.
I think Crawford likely takes a few shots but ends up dealing a lot more damage in return. Same way I think Maidana would have got busted up against Pacquiao with his style.
Crawford beats Maidana on any given day. I hate the way Maidana is overrated on here, but that's not surprising given that theres still a few clowns on here that thought he beat mayweather. He didn't. He was a decent slugger. No more, no less.
Loving the debates minus that one racist comment!
It would be a war but remember Maidana hits hard and if was active would be considered the top 3 hardest hitting welterweight in the division along with Spence and Pacman!
Chino was the Tasmanian devil incarnate when he evolved with Garcia as his coach!
Threw nearly 100 punches a round, hands of steel, rough houses and fights dirty and can also use feints and jabs!
Wouldn’t be easy for Crawford that’s for sure but with his skillet, reach advantage and killer instinct Bud could put on a virtuoso performance!
Ok kunta!!!
Comparing that version of Maidana is like comparing Crawford in the beginning of his career KUnta!!!!
Unnecessary. You can debate without racist comments. Don’t be a bad representation of what a Mexican is. Have some pride and speak with some sense. Your racist tone only shows your insecurities.
madiana beats him. terrance is very good but madiana would be too much for him, floyd barely handled him in the 1st fight and that is tbe
- -Maidana BTFO out of boy floyd the first fight and sent him squallin' to his daddy the 2nd fight.
Never seen that before.
Good fight, esspecially early, i'm sure Maidana gets his licks in, but Terence isnt like Floyd, he's not afraid to trade, and he doesnt spend extended periods of time on the full defensive. He'd beat the crap outta Maidana and very likely stops him.
Crawford would get inside all of those loopers and devestate Maidana's body before going to his head.
“Old” lol
But I also don’t give a fucckk and that doesn’t change the fact that Maidana fuccks up overrated Crawford.
Maidana couldn't **** up Chop Chop Corley or Alexander. Not debating this with you anymore tribalist clown.
I'm someone who thinks Bud still has a lot to prove, but he would be a clear favourite over any version of Maidana, lets not be silly. If Maidana was an active welterweight and in his prime right now, he would be the 7th or 8th best welterweight.
Interesting fight to think about, Maidana was kind of unique in that he was an awkward puncher but still carried a lot of power, and Crawford can be hit and we've seen him hurt a few times now. It's not inconceivable that Maidana would win. That said, I think it'd have to be early, because even though we've seen Crawford have difficulty from time to time in fight he always manages to adjust to the challenge and come through with the right strategy to get a decisive win. I could see Maidana hurting or even dropping Bud early on but ultimately I think he'd turn the tables and figure out ways to counter Maidana as he comes in. Meanwhile, Maidana's chin isn't impregnable and Crawford pretty much never lets anyone off the hook once they're hurt, so I think the likeliest result is a stoppage for Bud in the second half of the fight.
Tribalist???
The Maidana that arguably beat Floyd in the first fight wrecks Crawford brutally.
I don't give a **** about him losing to an old Mayweather.
Just because Floyd couldn't hurt Maidana doesn't mean Crawford couldn't too. Maidana might have some early success against Bud and probably do an early scare but I don't see him having more success than that. As the fight progresses, Crawford will be the more dangerous fighter and his shots will become more hurtful. I can see Crawford by TKO around 8th-10th. Good fight but Crawford would be on top in the end
Crawford’s lack of resume has to be taken into account as well then. He has faced nobody who has ever been a real threat. He’s 31 years old and lacks any big fight experience. Maidanas windmill style poses a lot of problems for anyone, especially the Garcia trained version. Crawford has never fought anyone with that type of output or pace. We don’t really know what Crawford’s level is. You can say he’s a champion. Yea, there are 23 for each division. You can say he conquered a division. Ok but who? It’s not far fetched to say Maidana can beat Crawford. It’s a lot closer than people think.
Fair points. There's no denying that Crawford's resume is fairly average and that Maidana has looked better under Robert Garcia.
I'm just basing my prediction on what I saw from both fighters throughout their respective careers and for me Crawford is clearly a league above Maidana and would handle him comfortably. Maidana would be a live dog against the other welterweights though.
I also think that Maidana's good performance against Floyd doesn't mean much, except than Maidana had a good performance against Floyd and that it doesn't mean anything in regards to how he would fare against other top ww contenders. .
Maidana's resume isn't much better by the way if we're just counting the wins, with his best being either Broner of Ortiz? I could easily see Crawford going through Maidana's resume unbeaten (yes, even against 37 or so Floyd) and Maidana catching a loss or two going through Crawford's. But we're entering fantasy territory here.
Would have been a good fight, Probably Crawford 7-5 or 8-4 and the whole forum would say he was exposed instead of just saying it was a good win in a tough fight.
I read your posts and you are a serious Crawford hater and a Horn and Khan lover. Crawford KOed both of them and you just can't stand it. The question was who wins between Crawford and Maidana and most said Crawford wins. Nobody said Crawford beats Mayweather so don't make shi t up. Maidana lost to Mayweather twice and lost every round to Alexander and lost to Khan. Mayweather was at the tail end of his career and he still beat Maidana twice. People are answering the question by saying PRIME Crawford beats Prime Maidana and nobody said Crawford beats Mayweather so quit crying about that.
I think Crawford’s a bad man, beats Maidana. I thought the first Floyd maidana fight was very close, a draw wouldn’t have bothered me at the time. My brother watched it without sound on and he said Floyd won. I haven’t seen it since and maybe I should. But I also know that the underdog can sometimes get more credit in a close round because he’s having “a good round” while the favourite is having a “bad round” even though it’s actually very even. I think Bud is special. Maidana is tough and determined, we know that because he got punched in the face a lot.
This is the Robert Garcia trained Maidana that gave Floyd hell twice!
What’s your predictions and why?
Crawford is one of the few fighters you have to favor against Maidana. Lesser fighters like Spence Jr. And Thurman get stopped early.
