Looking over his resume of the last decade, is there one elite level fighter, champion or former champion, who was at their very best when they fought him?
Conor McGregor
Victor Ortiz
Robert Guerrero
Marcos Maidana
Also beat Canelo Alvarez without the steroids, the same version Canelo schooled is the same one doing his match fixing right now. I guess if you think Canelo isn't in prime without steroids then maybe you have an argument but I say Floyd beat the best version of him.
And Judah was coming off a Baldomir loss...how did he get the fight? Let's not forget that Judah legit scored a knockdown in that fight that was ruled a slip.
That fight should also have been ruled a DQ loss for Floyd once his uncle Roger entered the ring illegally.
Definitely looked like a flash KD for sure. That referee had a reputation for being in the a-side fighters pocket so no surprise he didn't call it the knockdown or disqualify Floyd for the corner jumping in the ring. At the end of the day it is the refs call though.
Maidana.
OLDH was coming out of his prime bit close enough to count in my book.
Ortiz was a weak win and damaged goods already but was also prime as an athlete and boxer.
Floyd gave Oscar 25lbs on fight night, Manny was 2 lbs heavier than Oscar and Oscar had never been that light in over 10 yrs .
Work it out its not really hard, the Oscar Floyd beat would destroy Manny.
Show a video so you can see the feet, Floyd caught his foot on judah's at the same time he was moving back and grazed with a shot and was slightly of balance, they actually both landed shots, and they also tangled feet all night, happens a lot with Sth Paws because the lead foot is in the same place.
You are so desperate to get some miniscule feeling of beating Floyd, youre such a loser.
This is how I know I've gained ground in the argument...when you Floyd fans eventually resort to insults and name-calling. You've got nothing left in the Tank. You've added nothing of value to this thread. Zab landed a clean punch, it should have been ruled a knockdown and Floyd should have been DQ'd once his crackhead uncle entered the ring.

Baldomir was coming off a good Zab Judah win.

This is the GhostofDemsey I like. You shaking their side up with this thread.
Unfortunately for Floyd is a legit great fighter. I wouldn’t just ask this question in reference to the last decade.
You can legit ask this about his whole career. Forget about this last decade, the real question is did Floyd EVER fight an elite fighter in their prime.
I've asked this of his career many times. His fans like to believe that anyone who dislikes Floyd is a hater, or dislikes him because he beat their favorite fighter or because of his arrogance and troubles outside of the ring. But for me, it was never about any of that shyt. For me it was always about the flash before substance. How his opponents were hyped up with clever PR and how he managed to avoid fights against some of the most dangerous fighters across all of his weight classes....Johnston, Freitas, Casamayor, prime Mosley, prime Pac and Cotto, Paul Williams, Margarito, Winky, Martinez, and several others. He avoided the top WWs of Thurman/Garcia/Porter towards the end. When he did get a big name in the ring it was when he could catch them at a disadvantage, either coming up in weight, past their prime, or too green.
For a guy with all of his talent and ability, he never really put himself to the test against the best at their best. He also got some gifts along the way that can be disputed until frogs fall out of the sky, but for me, there will always be a question mark regarding Floyd's entire career. What if he really chased after the best fighters while they were at their best?
Did anyone fought Floyd at his best in the last 10 years?
Nope because the best Floyd was 130-135 Pretty Boy Floyd.
Floyd was just too good they couldnt beat him and they cry a river lol, his easiest wins were Manny Canelo and JMM the guy that iced Manny lol, dam they were easy wins.
Coralles and Castillo were pretty elite and prime, the latter more so than the former. As was said before cotto can also be included. Other than that Floyd fought some great fighters within or shortly after their prime in Mosley (despite the age, coming off an amazing win over margarito), Oscar, pac and the list goes on.
No he hasnt. And he certainly isn't a candidate for fotd. He spent last 5 years not fighting people boxing fans wanted to see. Instead of tenshin most would have loved nel o rematch and against thurman, spence, crawford.
He missed out on Fotd decade before you'd expect him to go extra mile. Anyone who goes AWOL last 5 years denying fans big fights doesn't deserve no Fotd awards.
I was just making a comparison. I wasn't saying you were wrong for your opinion, I was just comparing how people judge Canelo v Vargas.
For what it’s worth, I don’t rate the Vargas win that highly either. Both are good wins but not great
Yes your right it wasnt within the last decade .Apology's.
At the time I thought Hatton may of beaten Mayweather but despite initial success the way Floyd adapted and sunk Hatton was impressive. That night as a young fan was the first time I saw Floyd fight and saw how brilliant a boxer Floyd was.
Ricky Hatton fought very well, and the fight was close until 'Mayweather from my recall? Had a big round in the 7th/8th. Mayweather so comfortable on the inside, very conscious and within his higher mind 'Like James Toney'.
Hatton after that fight should of stayed with Billy Graham, they where a great team 'Their training sessions where stuff of legend'
Never a good sign when long time partnership ends, I knew it was a bad move for David Haye when he left Adam Booth aswell.
Hatton could of probably had some success in his comeback, but he jumped in the deep end far too quickly.
