Floyd "No risk comes first" Mayweather
I always said Manny was no risk , how the fck is a guy with 7 loses in his prime going to beat Floyd, once they stopped him from using his Toradol Manny had a snowballs chance in hell, Manny is a bit of a paper tiger once its on even ground.
Floyd ran from Pac for so many years...only fought him after knowing the prime PAC was gone. Floyd smart, don’t take risk and you don’t lose.
Floyd "No risk comes first" Mayweather
A bit different since Floyd is orthodox, but I see what you're trying to say.
Yes, Pac only received formal training when he was much older as a boxer. He was very lucky to have met Roach. And so are boxing fans: otherwise Manny would have remained a one-dimensional fighter and we wouldn't have seen what he was capable of. Props to Manny for reaching insane heights even though he started training late.
it's the same punch
How good was Pacquiao? Good enough to have Gayweather run scared for 6 years.
The Mayweathers body language whenever Manny's name was mentioned was all you needed to know. Especially Sr. he was the funniest
LOTS of fighters failed to show up on fight night when shlt got real with Mayweather
stop making excuses man... Pac is just another name on that list, that happened to everyone
Floyds whole family was accusing him of being a ped cheat with no hard evidence. Went thru all that trouble to duck the man when he could have just fessed up and said i don't want to do this.
that hook was called... Manila Ice
Pac was 32yo when Roach taught him that punch
Mayweather had mastered that punch before his 14th birthday

Many fighters are scared of battle....that is what drives them. At the end of the fight, May was never ko'd. Being ''scared'' isn't the point.
Yeah but they don't make videos about it. That was more like feature length film. I felt bad for fam
Yeah that was the version Floyd was least afraid of.
Made it easier to apply the buggy bear on him.

Prime Pac was a freak of nature. He and Floyd were the best among the best of their divisions for a long time, and until now Pac is still elite. Of course he was not invincible, but he brought boxing to new heights because he was a small, aggressive fighter who never seemed to tire.
What I really like about Pac is how he started off relying mostly on his left hand but eventually learned to use both hands to set new traps for his opponents. As he progressed he learned to use his left-handedness and his stamina to create angles--coupled with his speed--made him difficult to read. I watch Pac videos all the time and I still dont precisely understand half of what he does. I need to watch breakdown vids on youtube and in slow motion.

What I really like about Pac is how he started off relying mostly on his left hand but eventually learned to use both hands to set new traps for his opponents. As he progressed he capitalized on his southpaw stance and his stamina to create angles--coupled with his speed--to fluster opponents. I never saw a guy as scared of getting ko'd as Floyd was. Even made videos about it.

Just How Good Was Prime Manny Pacquiao?
there is only one criteria for greatness...
... who did you beat, with consideration given to when/how
... there is also some (lesser) consideration given to losses
so...
Pac was good enough to beat a number of first-ballot-HOF'ers
but he was not good enough to get a clear win over Marquez, despite having 4 attempts... and he was definitely not good enough to beat Mayweather
he had to work to become a superstar, as his early losses proved... but he fashioned a great career, mostly under 135, but with some notable wins coming at welter... and showed excellent longevity fighting until at least 40
