In wake of AJ's crisp(and boring) conquest of Ruiz, a dynamic emerged that Matchroom and AJ did not anticipate.
A ho hum reaction from boxing journalist, and the general public, but that was the least of it.
Based on the cautious and safety first style of his performance, due to Tyson Fury getting wrecked by a C class HW, and given the electrifying nature of Wilder's consecutive victories, the prevailing view among many, is that Wilder is the #1 HW in the world, he does not need the titles to be considered the best
Based on 2019 by itself, Wilder is CLEARLY the top dog at HW.
Now fury could beat him, but he has not done so yet.
Hearn and company are very upset about all of this, as are the fans (esp the nationalists), they thought winning the belts would fully restore AJ's reputation, but that was a pipe dream, he got beaten up by a fat overrated undisciplined HW, the stain of the loss killed AJ's stock, dancing for 12 rounds did little to reverse the damage.
AJ is talking more than usual because he realizes it goes beyond him being frozen out, now, he is considered A HW champion not "the" HW champion.
Wilder has successfully smoked AJ out, all the tickets, all the stadiums, it all has been rendered moot, AJ will not be accepted as the baddest man on the planet until he beats him.
I think most reasonable people would say Wilder is 1 and fury is 1B. Fury arguably should have the W over Wilder but the knockdown in the 12th got him a draw.
Joshua took his L, got his revenge and belts back and is now firmly in that 2 position after those 2 settle their buisness in February. Doesn't matter if Joshua is 10th, he has most the belts and nobody can claim to be the absolute best unless they fight each other and hold the titles.
Wilder would Ko Joshua though IMO...
Thread is hilarious because uk fans really are obsessed with Wilder. They cannot get his name out of their mouths. Americans barely mention him but britts are spending many hours out of their days posting about him. So weird.

They damn sure didnt forget Joshua getting dropped 4 times and stopped by a fat late replacement

£100m, 3 year contract with matchroom.

£65m from the Saudis.
£30m from dazn
£40m in ppv sales, most of it going to AJ.
and that's after AJ lost to Ruiz. Have you ever seen a boxer lose and then generating money like that?
Wilder
200k ppv buys vs the 'third best hw in the world'.
7000 tickets sold.
he's unbeaten.....on paper.
of course we know Wilder lost to a 50% Fury...
Fury is number 1...and most british boxing fans have been saying it inc many aj fans. AJ himself said he thinks Fury will beat Wilder.
so who exactly is going 'nuts'?
Who did Fury fight just before Wilder btw? how did he look in those fights?
Wilder was completely outboxed by ortiz. Wilder even admitted he thinks ortiz is more like 45/46 than 40. So?
btw Daniel Dubois would waste all of them right now.
We have AJ, Fury, Whyte, Daniel Dubois.
meanwhile, Eddie Hearn also has Usyk, Parker, Hrgovic, Gassiev (if he ever comes back), Hunter, Bakole etc
im afraid when wilder has retired, you'll be sucking on Miller or Ruiz's ****. there's no hope for you. Wilder is 34...he may have a belt, but he's certainly not the best.
Haymon and Finkel and Sulaiman will just keep rigging everything so Wilder never loses. 50-0 is the goal, so nine more rigged fake knockouts. Then they hope the money will be rolling in by then. But it won't. Boycotts will kill wilder. The only way he can become a money making star is by fighting and beating Joshua. The problem is Finkel and Haymon have no confidence in wilder to take that risk. SO they are rigging everything for Wilder and trying to sell you the public (suckers) a fraud.
^^
As if to prove the OP's assertion.
