This guy is beyond delusional and a joke. Comparing himself or his competition to Mayweather Jr is blasphemy
He thinks beating Jeff ****ing horn is a big deal:nonono::rofl:
This guy is protected and is nowhere near P4P like he claims
Ehh, Bud hasn’t even fought real elite competition yet.
He tries to downplay PAC to make himself look better but we all know Prime PAC kicks his butt. And he’s friends with Bradley so they’re salty about the losses to PAC.
Prime Floyd and Prime Pac both put a whooping on the Omaha boy.
When you don’t fight elite competition all the time, you won’t be prepared for when you do.
Did he? I was at that fight and my brother was saying "Floyd might get knocked out" and I said I guarantee Shane don't land that right hand again lol. I remember Shane just missing that right hand in the first round though but don't recall him landing anything substantial after the 2nd round.

How many times did he land it? I think 5 or 6 maybe in round 2. Floyd made the adjustment neutralized the right hand and went back to boxing beautifully after that. However the point was it's not like he was some mythical god that nobody could hit, if he didn't have an ATG chin, he could have been ktfo out there. However the reality is that he was excellent defensively and made countless adjustments to fights throughout the years.
I think people have selective or perhaps just forgetful memories where Floyd is concerned. Now I think he was one of the very best but he wasn't infallible. Mosley landed that big right hand more than once and I remember Judah legitimately scored a knock down vs him too, not forgetting being roughed up by maidana and castillo (though it was never counted)
I think Crawford is very special, just in a different way.

Both Floyd and Bud are excellent at adapting during a fight, two of the best I've seen in recent years. Both have a mean steak in them but Bud is naturally more offensive and aggressive where Floyd was always defensively responsible and preferred to counter instead of lead.
I do think we've seen Bud pushed closer to his A game versus lower comp than we saw Floyd versus higher comp. I think the Spence and Porter fights would force Bud to show his complete repertoire.

Bud is right up there talent wise. Floyd proved more against better comp than bud has so far, but Crawford definitely has more dog in him than Floyd did.
I was really glad to hear Ward commentating his fight because he gets what Bud does. He can explain it to the fans who don't see the greater picture, the traps being set, the psychology. A lot of commentators just don't understand strategy and flow on that level. Not even Bradley really had a grasp on the action.
Yeah man, wards one of the best and most knowledgeable commentators in the game.

I agree, I thought the same listening to him during the fight
Great post, agree fully. Bud is a lot more versatile in that he can slug it out, and box you up. Also his ability to fight in Orthodox or southpaw gives him a huge advantage against opponents.
And I've said this before. No one sets traps as good as bud does. His ability to set you up for a wicked power shot is 2nd to none.

I don't see Floyd as being that far above Crawford, talent-wise. Bud does need to prove himself against some better comp but to prove it though. Floyd was greater, defensively, but what Bud does is brilliant in it's own regard. The ability to adapt throughout the fight, to pressure, to lay back. His instincts in the ring are some of the greatest I've ever seen. He's much more versatile than Floyd ever was, even though Floyd's 1-trick was pretty amazing.

Fighters have a different view of boxing from their side of the fence, in his mind Floyds is his equal or he could beat Floyd, thats just a champions mentality, they dont see the ratings and stuff fans gobble up, they see the guy in front of them first hand, he has every right to think and say what he likes.
