In the UFC the fighters and promoters don't give a **** about losing their 0. Bottom line: the best face the best. In Boxing it's the complete opposite. Top fighters talk **** and challenge each other from a distance or through social media yet none of the top fights actually get made. It's sickening and makes it hard to be a Boxing fan!
UFC is just one promoter UFC best don’t fight the other organizations best
UFC is basically Arum putting all in house fights or PBC
Not really because the UFC have the vast majority of top fighters in each weight class so much so that guys that get washed out of the UFC are able to revive or at least continue their careers in other promotions as top fighters. UFC have established themselves as the premier MMA promotional outfit.
UFC 245>Boxing this weekend for sure :dunno:
No shizz right?
I’m a fan of Terence but I’ll catch his on the replay.
That UFC 245 card gonna be fireworks.
UFC is just more action packed, it’ll always be more exciting then boxing from now on.
Only 3-5 rounds instead of 12, more consistent elite match making. And the stars are becoming bigger also.
People like to watch combat sports for the KO’s and the action. Not everybody is a fan of the jab, run and clinch style some boxers focus on.
I love that undefeated records are scarce in the UFC. If top boxers only fought top boxers, there would be few, if any, undefeated records. Would Floyd have retired undefeated? Maybe, but it’s unlikely. For one, he would’ve had to fight Pacquiao years ago. Anyway, I’m not trying to make this about Floyd or any other boxer. I simply believe that if you fight top opposition long enough, you’re almost certain to take a loss.
UFC fighters don’t have as much to lose. They take an L and Dana White keeps paying them the same peanuts they already make. Outside of a Mcgregor or Rousey they don’t have much say in their purse.
A top boxer stands to lose tens of millions of dollars and promoters more than that. That’s why promoters want to control the promotion.
It does hurt the sport but only Dana White and his investors are breaking the bank in UFC.
I can agree with the OP, even hardcore boxing fans are not watching these showcase cards anymore. We are losing interested perfect example you got Danny Garcia vs Ivan Reckbach as a FOX main event haha that’s terrible. Wilder-Joshua hands down is the best HW fight we’ll get in the last 15 years and it’s not going to happen anytime soon. Hey I’m all for Joshua-Puleav and Wilder-Fury early 2020 but after that how about we get Joshua-Wilder so much noise for the sport of boxing can benefit. Make the fights
I blame the networks for not putting their foot down and tell these promoters and managers if you don’t give us the content we want go to showtime or other abysmal network.
UFC is under one umbrella so it’s easy to make the best fight the best but those guys make peanuts and get treated like a object.
We all knew that but when it involved two fairies dry humping one another on the canvas, ill pass. That sht is boring and the little gay terms you mma fans use makes me laugh. Figure Gay Triangle? Wtf is thAt i just love it when these mma jerkoffs use certain name for gay moves like it’s super special.
Imagine that boring prick Gracie vs another gracie like how dull is that?
Mma must provide the most competitive matchups because that’s the only way they stay stay afloat.
Maybe MMA has changed alot and i dont know what im talking about but just MMA in general is hella boring and rubbish to me.
1. Boxing
2. ITF Tae Kwon Do tournament full contact
Those are the best for striker fans.

There's no other promotion.
UFC makes the best matches for the UFC because they have a defacto monopoly. They pay their guys pennies on the dollar, use them up quick by throwing them in tough, and then its on to the next.
Boxing promoters make the best matches for their fighters. They represent their fighters, because their business lives on dies on the continued success of their fighters. UFC, meanwhile, only has a minimal stake in who wins (they'd prefer the more popular fighters like McGregor and Rousey to win).
Youre talking about apples and oranges, man.
That’s why it has so many casual fans. They know the guys fighting are ranked within 1 or 2 spots of each other. No Champion vs #25 tune up like in boxing. Fury Wilder and Joshua would have all fought each other by now

It's sickening and makes it hard to be a Boxing fan!Dana White is in complete control of the UFC and he tell the fighters who they fight if i understand things. They do as he says or they are out of the UFC.He decides what they get paid and keeps most of the money. No promoter in boxing has that kind of power. If a boxer is not treated right he can go to another promoter and he decides if he will take a fight and for how much money. The top boxers make a hell of a lot more money than the UFC fights. It's true there is no ducking in the UFC. If White says you are fighting somebody then you are fighting him and that is that. But remember money attracts talent. If there was one guy like White in charge of boxing then boxers would make a hell of a lot less money so they might not even be pro boxers. It would not be worth it to risk injury or death. No UFC fighter make Canelo or AJ type money. It's the chance to make that kind of money that draws talented fighters to boxing.
