In a street fight?
How could a top boxer really feel that secure and confident with himself, when he knows if it really came down to it, one on one outside of the ring and with no gloves on even an average level MMA fighter could have his way with him on the street?
Lmfao at both sides. I’ve seen both bum bum Rios and Vargas get ktfo in street fights and I saw a vid of bj penn get knocked the fawk out. All were great strikers and in the boxers cases both have heart and can take a punch yet both got knocked out cold
In a street fight anything goes, biting, eye gauges whatever. I have an old friend who bit off the finger of another guy and his reaction was fk it anything goes
MMA sucks now man, if anything they're the emasculated ones.
How are you going to fight someone laying on your back with your legs straight up in the air? That's some emasculated ish right there.
Many MMA locks can be broken in a Street fight with a bite , ball grabbing or eye gouging but a One punch knock out is what the MMA fighters fear since 90% have glass jaws. Mc Gregor was a KO puncher in MMA and his punches did nothing to Mayweather. Floyd mom hit harder than Mc Gregor
Most fights starts with a punch anyway and Boxers have the upperhand. The guy who lands the first clean shot usually wins on the street and who can throw it better than a boxers.
Of course the boxer can get caught slippin too but Id say more times than not, the boxer beats the mma phag’s ass.
Top boxers dont give a rat’s ass about MMA fighters. Boxers in general look down on MMA fighters anyway. They think of them as lower level fighters who gets paid peanuts.
Too boxers laugh at MMA fighters.
They got these rubbish ass moves they call Figure Gay triangle or some bullsht it makes me laugh.
Fuk mma. It’s boring
hahaha pointless thread. The main reason fighters are in fight sports are because they have limited opportunities and see boxing as a way to provide a life for themselves that was never imaginable. Ask Pacquiao, Canelo or Joshua if they are secure with themselves hahahahahahaha.
In a street fight the first one to do serious damage wins, a good boxer could do that in a couple of seconds with his fists. A one two and bam down you go.
How often do you see a guy try to get a takedown in a street fight? How often you see them use only their fists?
Hell, even MMA fighters who's been in street fights always use their fists. I wonder why.
LOL @ McGregor destroying Mayweather in a street fight. He'd be lying unconscious after being hit with a quick combo by one of the most accurate boxers of all time in the middle of his takedown attempt.
nah.... Floyd will get KTFO inside a minute in street fight vs connor. Why you or boxing fans always assume MMA guys will use takedown? it's dangerous using takedown in concrete or ashpalt, in many videos i see MMA guys often use kicks and knees in street fight rather than takedown.

Lol...this is just ridiculous.
Why do idiots over glorify street fights? I could take out Deontay Wilder with a loaded gun in my hand. Knives, weapons, other people joining in, that's how street fights go. I'd take a top current prime boxer to beat a UFC guy even in their sport.

- -U putting stoop in stoopid.
MMA vs Boxing is such a stupid argument.
I'm not a mixed martial artist, but I do train Muay Thai. It's great to see the level of respect some muay thai practitioners have for boxing. Where I train, there are signed pictures by Mosley, the owner took a pic with Holyfield, and wears Ali shirts. Lots of respect for boxing. I never hear anyone at all talk about 'this style vs that style is better.'
People simply have no respect. It's usually people who are fans of this sport that dont even go running at least, that have these opinions. Granted everyone is entitled to their own opinion, some people simply have no respect.
Poor examples, It would have made more sense if the fight with McGregor and Floyd had some stipulations that allowed different strikes that are used in MMA i.e. kicks allowing high or just low kicks, elbows and the clinch. However, the fight with Conor was pure boxing we all know if it was inside a MMA cage or out in the streets Connor would destroy him inside 5 minutes. Look at James Toney Vs. Randy Couture since you like to compare past it former UFC heavyweights fighting a past it Ray Mercer.
Fact is anyone can shoot in and try to get a takedown, most boxers won't have a clue what to do when someone grabs both your legs and tosses you to the deck. They won't know how to defend transitions so inevitably the guy with MMA experience will get full mount and **** the guy up with relative ease.

Lol, I love these comparison arguments.
I watch boxing because it's a sport. Like Tennis or whatever. It requires 1 particular skillset and the highest degree will show overall against lesser opponents. MMA you are a fighter of many trades and a master of none.
I'd rather have someone in my corner that master an art than someone that is Okay at everything.
With that said, a street fight, anything does go. While you MMA guys are trying to pretend your style is suppose to make a difference, the guy on the other side is grabbing a chair to slam over your damn ******ed forehead.

A street fight is not an mma fight.
Boxer beats a MMA fighter 8 out of 10 times because an average street fight lasts 6 seconds and most of the times the guy who can throw hands better wins it. This nonsense that MMA guy beats a boxer in a street fight is just a byproduct of MMA fans' lifelong inferiority complex and a little ret@rded brother syndrome.
From my real life experience, an average MMA fan knows **** all about fighting. Average boxing fan knows little to nothing but that's still better than a MMA fan.
Lastly, Tim Sylvia vs Ray Mercer. Or Mayweather vs McGregor. Conor was supposed to be one of MMA's best strikers. Yet he can't punch for **** and got himself emasculated by a retired old man.
