DAZN offered Wilder $20 million for a Breazeale fight and $80 million for two Joshua fights, if Joshua won his interim fight.
Wilder turned down fighting Breazeale on DAZN and told DAZN he'd wait to see if Joshua won his interim fight, before negotiating a Joshua fight.
Joshua lost his interim fight.
So no, Wilder didn't turn down $100 million because the $100 million was contingent on Joshua winning, which he didn't.
Had Joshua won, and DAZN then re-offered $80 million, or even more, for Wilder to fight him twice, you could second guess Wilder if he turned it down.
But it makes no sense to second guess Wilder for turning DAZN's offer when Joshua didn't end up winning anyway.
So Wilder isn't a draw and won't bring fans to DAZN?
Wilder signing with DAZN would have brought some fans to DAZN, but not enough to do the kind of viewership he can do on Showtime. Showtime has existed for decades and has 25 million US subscribers. DAZN's numbers aren't anywhere near that and there's nothing that's going to change that any time soon.
Not all showtimes subscribers are for boxing and you're not worth talking to if you gonna dispute the generally accepted figures.... again.
I'm not disputing the Nielsen figures, I'm simply explaining what Nielsen figures are. They track people watching Showtime on cable and satellite. They do not track cable and satellite subscribers who chose to watch on other devices via Showtime Anytime and they don't track the 20% of Showtime subscribers who get Showtime without a cable or satellite subscription.
It's another case of AJ's purse is secretly inflated Wilders is secretly deflated.
You have no idea what AJ's filed purse is. Those numbers are never released. So what is the logic in comparing the purse numbers his promoter spouts to Wilder's filed purses? What was AJ's filed purse in New York? Amazingly, we never found out. Wilder was guaranteed 20 million for the Ortiz fight, but his filed purse was a tiny fraction of that. If you knew Joshua's filed purses, you'd likely find they are a tiny fraction as well.
Hearn signs AJ contracts stop lying.
That's fine. He should have been honest about that instead of lying about it.
Finkel had over a week to comply but he hid away again knowing the WBA was going to interfere when he said he wasn’t signing the contract he asked for and they would demand Povetkin become mandatory after Hearn had already held them off for months trying to get Wilder fight and had used up all his extensions with the WBA.
You're either trolling, or you've been misled by inaccurate information.
Hearn sent the contract on a Monday. Finkel asked for clarification on two points and said they were prepared to sign by Friday once those two points were clarified. Hearn then went with the Povetkin fight. Hearn never wanted the Wilder fight next. He publicly admitted he preferred the Povetkin fight first. I don't know how any reasonable person could believe that Hearn wanted to do the Wilder fight before Povetkin.

Facts...
..................
Anthony Joshua being shockingly upset and knocked out is a much bigger story than Deontay Wilder knocking someone out. Wilder knocks people out all the time. Joshua had never lost before and Ruiz winning drew parallels to Buster Douglas. It was too big of a story for ESPN to ignore. Wilder knocking out Breazeale on DAZN would have been very easy to ignore. Which channels shows the highlights of other channels is a very political matter.
Showtime doesn't release their numbers, so you have no idea what the actual number was. You just know the linear cable/satellite number. Millions more subscribe via the Showtime app, not to mention the Showtime Anytime users.
No, Wilder vs. Breazeale wouldn't have had nearly as many viewers on DAZN as DAZN has a tiny percentage of the subscribers Showtime has. They also have far fewer ways to spread the word about their events. When you fight on DAZN, nobody knows about it. Unless you're Canelo. And even with Canelo, he's fighting in the middle of the night because UFC is able to spread the word about their events on basic cable and DAZN isn't.

DAZN's veiwing figures are inflated and Showtimes are secret and deflated.
Predictable.
You just gonna ignore the rest of his post showing DAZN content going more viral and the fact the live event only got around 700,000 viewers. Surely Wilder would bring extra US veiwers to DAZN to get it near that number, unless you are saying he's not a draw at all?

That's not why Winkel and Wilder turned it down.
Weasel Winkel wanted to know how much AJ will be getting.
"They're being dishonest," says Deyonce recently.
All this time it's always been about the money for these disgusting people.
And now Ruiz is in possession of the titles.
And I hope Ruiz wins again in the rematch.
Wilder is begging for another help from Fury.

- -U wearing Deyonce WBC skirt today?
Would have had far fewer people watching the fight. The ending was emphatic, but the result was not shocking. Would have been less likely to be the top story on Sportscenter as ESPN tries to avoid promoting DAZN unless absolutely necessary.

Why wouldn't Wilder's KO of Breazeale not have gonna viral on DAZN?

we dont know what wilder got for the breazeale fight other than reports it was close. was it 15 million? 18 million? who knows. but showtime blew a big chunk of their budget to keep wilder off of ppv.
the KO of breazeale went viral. something that wouldnt have happened if the fight was on DAZN.
wilder stayed loyal to PBC and got a 20 million guarantee against ortiz. something that wouldnt have happened if he'd stabbed PBC in the back one fight earlier.
not to mention all the marketing and promotion showtime and fox did for wilder this year. he's doubled his number of followers this year alone.
also, breazeale was a mandatory opponent. wilder can't just sell the fight to DAZN without breazeale's cooperation. how much was DAZN offering breazeale? did breazeale stand to make more on showtime?
Why wouldn't Wilder's KO of Breazeale not have gonna viral on DAZN?
On Showtimes' YouTube page it got 2.4 million views, on Bleacher it got 4.4 million views, that's 6.6 million views while the Joshua/Ruiz highlights are about to reach 16 million views on DAZN's YouTube page alone. That sounds pretty viral to me.
Haymon & Finkel both agreed it was a sucker deal for Wilder to accept 15 million flat to go to the UK.
proof?
Finkel said so publicly. As for Haymon, I'm not going to reveal private correspondence.
i remember Finkle declaring to the media that they had accepted the offer and were waiting for a contract.
Eddie confirmed said offer had been sent..
Wilder decided to accept against the advice of his management.
and then a few weeks later, yet again, as expected...wilder's side derrailed the whole thing claiming 'it doesnt have anthony joshuas signature on it, it has eddie hearn's signature'
wtf type of excuse is that?
Wilder's side publicly confirmed they would sign the contract at the end of the week they'd received the contract. That is a reasonable length of time.
They simply pointed out that Joshua hadn't signed as an example of Hearn lying, since Hearn had publicly claimed Joshua had signed even though he hadn't.
"i wont sell my soul for 50 million dollars...you guys to train and fight wilder if you think its so easy"
the only liars are the ones who still think wilder DAZN deal was a good one when he still wouldnt have the fight.....and the DAZN boys admitted they screwed the whole thing up!!!
the truth always reveals itself....and wilder is gaining steam while ur boy got worked by a 25-1 replacement underdog....and is trying to recover
you all got exposed...just like your phony, no heart having, "champ"...run along mutt
Weak **** trying to change the subject after getting caught lying.
"The truth always reveals itself" you either low IQ or some weird snakey fuq saying this after the nonsense you just got called out on.
So according to you, it was smart to let $20M go and make $8M instead fighting Breazeale because no one can predict the future?

No, we don't know that. The profits of Wilder's events go to Wilder because he is the promoter. They do not go to Finkel or Haymon. They are not promoters. Finkel and Haymon are paid a commission by Wilder.
No it's not clear. Wilder actually has a lot of say. Two quick examples. Haymon & Finkel both agreed it was a sucker deal for Wilder to accept 15 million flat to go to the UK. Wilder didn't care and accepted anyway. Hearn was so surprised that Wilder accepted that Hearn had to scramble and come up with excuses to still not do the fight last year.
Earlier that same year, Wilder demanded a fight against Luis Ortiz. Haymon & Finkel both agreed it was a high risk, low reward fight, and that Wilder should wait until after Ortiz picked up a vacant WBA title. Wilder didn't care and demanded the fight immediately anyway. Wilder is his own boss. He gets advice, but he makes the final decision.
come off it man, al haymon is the new black prophet. wilder is just part of the cult.

wtf type of excuse is that?
since you're going back to 2018..here's what happened
-wilder's side derrailed it which ive just explained above. they said 'it doesnt have aj's signature on the contract'.
The result was that Canelo vs ggg 2 was announced as a showtime ppv fight for mid september.
-Eddie publicly/openly/clearly told everyone that it now means showtime wont sanction 2 superfights on ppv, within 2 weeks of each other..so have asked for the fight to get moved to october.
THIS context meant Wembley could no longer host it, since it would most likely rain (it rains heavily in october and it did that year too). Cardiff's Principality stadium does 80k capacity and has a closing roof..so Eddie said 'most likely will now be in Cardiff for October'.
-That was the perfect excuse yet again for wilder to claim 'omg dey lyin' and that's when someone like me loses all respect for wilder, finkle..the likes of espinoza.
Anyone with half a brain could have understood the problem here.
-after rejecting this on the 'no venue/date' excuse, the WBA decided to mandate the Povetkin fight which was long overdue.
Since povetkin wasnt a superfight on showtime, it could easily be moved to the September date at Wembley.
-months later Wilder claimed that 'they are liars because dey seded dey cantededo dat big castle' 'but dey dooded povetkin so dey liars'
wtf?
yes of course they could do povetkin there, it wasnt going to be a ppv card on showtime so wouldnt clash with canelo ggg 2.
seriously when it comes to truth and logic, you guys are clueless.
How was wilder so clueless?
Eddie Hearn has dealt with promoters/managers/boxers all around the world. A number of them have publicly praised how easy it was to work with Eddie.
A deal can be made within a day if both parties want it.
When Eddie was in NY doing the Daniel Jacob's card, he was talking around with free time on his hands, on camera, asking to meet al haymon or finkle. Those guys completely refused.
Finkle said 'no meetings, unless you verbally agree to the $50m offer'.
We ALL know it's always al haymon who shuts the door on other promoters.

Why do would you repeat the same lie over and over, LMAO you Wilder hardcores are something else.
No credibility the lot of you. First it was 15 mil not 12.5 and Wembley wasn't even booked until a month after Povetkin was confirmed so there was no way they could've slipped in the April date before saying the fight with Wilder wouldn't happen next.
Bare-faced liars it's pathetic.

Wilder didn't turn down 100 mil because he borrowed Fury's crystal ball that showed him Miller would get cancelled, Ortiz would refuse 7mil and a 25-1 underdog would win
Riiiiight. This forum was better when you wasn't trying to spin ridiculous angles such as the one above.
Let's all forget Wilder turned it down because he said he's gonna bet on himself, do his own thing and make more money doing it.
wilder says "ill fight whyte but you have to guarantee me AJ next after that"...hearn says "cant do that"
aj says "show me 50 mil and ill sign tomorrow"...wilder comes up with it and AJ says "i wont sell my soul for 50 million...it has to be at home for the fans...btw those fans should go train and fight wilder if they think its so easy"
barry hearn says he advises aj to avoid wilder for several more years
wilder says hell agree to fight AJ in the UK for 12.5 if they send a contract with a 2018 date....hearn sends "contract" with no date on it then says its for april 2019 which is the exact opposite of what wilder asked for and hearn had time
let me guess...it was wilder ducking the immediate rematch with fury right? despite overwhelming evidence of the opposite and a straight admission from arum that they were delaying it?
Why do would you repeat the same lie over and over, LMAO you Wilder hardcores are something else.
