Canelo thinks the media is too hard on him

I think if Canelo was American, the US media would report everything differently. Maybe that's more a comment on US sports media's bias in favour of US fighters, but the old US bias against foreign fighters is still alive and well. Canelo seems unappreciated to me....people need reminding he fights for himself, not his or boxing fans in general.

I think some of the criticism of Canelo is a bit over the top...but I would also say that most things he gets sh.it for are more or less very valid...just maybe some stuff is a little overboard...but yeah he has a lot of things that you can get on him for, like most fighters, to be fair...but Nelo imo has a few more (drugs, questions about level of opponent at time of fight, restrictions placed on opponent etc) things that you can question over the average fighter.

I can't wait to hear who his next opponent will be. Two Englishmen I think he could beat in Vegas with very little risk are Saunders and Smith and they are both young and undefeated. I used to think Callum Smith was a risky fight for Canelo but he looked weak and so did Saunders. Beterbiev and Bivol are the dangerous opponents even in Vegas and GGG will always give Canelo hell.

They are hard in you but only cos your not hard on yourself. You won't entertain idea you lost to Ggg whilst everyone thought you did. So your disrespecting people's opinions.

I mean he's a bit of a diva with his demands, then there's the failed tests. I think he's treated alright all things considered.

AJ was getting a pass for so much and so many things he said prior to losing to Ruiz! Can you imagine Lennox telling Tyson we have to fight in the UK cuz I’m doing it for the fans even though the money is in Vegas!? Crawford hasn’t fought a solid opponent in years and media isn’t criticizing him or Bob Arum! When your the best it comes with the territory of being judged differently than the rest! Every fight is a cherry pick for Canelo unless they’re a cruiserweight! He beats someone it’s either the judges, Mexican beef(hair follicles test remember), fixed fight, old fighter, fighter was a bum, fighter didn’t fight anyone, weight drained, or too green! Whoever he fights next and if he wins this are the list of excuses that will be used! It’s unfair but when your that high profile and make that much money it comes with it! He should call up Floyd and ask him how did he handle all of the media’s vitriol!
