I've read here (not sure if it's reliable) that Kovalev just had hand surgery. Is this correct? Maybe the only way the fight could be made. Kovalev had to prove his hands were broken and send CAnelo X-Rays.

Is that why he didnt throw his right hand? What type of surgery is it exactly? McGirt did say after one of those rounds "dont worry about the right", as if he finally wanted Kovalev to ignore the pain and throw it. Something was wrong anyway.
