Bad production, FIXED FIGHTS!!! The "Face of Boxing" with only 10K in attendance, Youtubers headlining Boxing cards and bending the knee to Dana White and MMA. They are in desperation mode to stay afloat hopefully they don't destroy Boxing on their way out!
A bunch of DAMNED kids at a boxing event!!!
I like DAZN. I did a $100 for the year. I’m happy with it. Beats the crap out of having to pay $50 to watch David Tua vs. Saul Montana or a shot Evander Holyfield vs. Sherman Williams. Shot Roy Jones vs. Anthony Hanshaw another $50 special. I’d take DAZN over those days any effing day. I think they need to work on their fight promotion though. FOX did a better job promoting Caleb Plant vs. Jose Uzcategui than DAZN did prompting Canelo vs. Kovalev. . . Plant/Uzcategui had a whole series of documentaries and countdowns. It was fantastic. I think what might hurt DAZN a little is that not everyone is up to date with a smart tv or roku or fire stick or whatever. Would be nicer if there was a DAZN channel we could flip over to with good ol Comcast cable. DAZN does need to do a better job with fight build up. ESPN+ has been more frustrating than DAZN for me. Crawford, Lomachenko, Fury, they’re holding these 3 guys hostage. Easy hand picked fights. One mismatch after another. ESPN is killing me with these 3. When are we gonna see them in there with someone who gets fans excited? And as far as KSI / Logan Paul goes, it was fantastic. A great opportunity to bring in newer, younger fans to the sport
I don’t think DAZN is bad for boxing competition is good but the thing that worries me about DAZN is realistically how do they make mega fights? For example ESPN and FOX are doing a co ppv for fury wilder assuming wilder beats Ortiz.
I was thinking how does DAZN realistically do a co ppv. Let’s say Joshua vs wilder if they both win? How does that fight realistically get made or someone on contract with another network? Does Dazn take the bad press and just do a normal co ppv? These are honest questions take the names out it I just wonder how realistic it is for Dazn to make big fights where their fighter isn’t the overwhelming A side.
I don’t think Dazn is bad for boxing but with their model I think it limits the hell out of them in terms of making co promotional co network mega fights.
Canelo vs Kovalev Generates $8.173 Million, 10,005 Tickets Sold:boxing: who in boxing can Generates $8 million ???
Errol Spence Jr vs Shawn Porter Sells 13k Tickets, $2.3M Live Gate::wave:
Errol Spence and Shawn Porter didn’t have a combined purse of 45M though.
I have dazn but didn't watch this bullshyt. I can't say that more eyes on the sport is bad for boxing. Casuals get interested from the drama, and become real fans. So, we gotta respect that.
What bugs me is that this takes the place of a good card on a subscription service. I don't want pay for this garbage. Let the ppv people sell it to the suckers.
And Andy Ruiz is going to crush their second biggest attraction. Not that I want DAZN to fail, because I think they have offered some of the best fights of the year (Ruiz/AJ, Prograis/Taylor, Inoue/Donaire, Ramirez/Hooker, ect.) and I actually subscribed for the year. But, they I just don't see what they're doing as sustainable like paying a nobody like Haney 1 mill. Plus they made the sport look weak by having Canelo wait out the UFC event.
There has been nothing that has crippled this sport in the US and made it look weak like the big fights not happening because PBC fighters keep making excuses not to take those fights. And what makes it look even weaker is that those same PBC fighters have at some point been all over social media smack talking these fighters they wont face.
Social media is massive and people pick up on the back and forth between fighters and then when they attempt to take notice they read that those interesting fights are not going to happen because a PBC fighter is now not smack talking any more but making their excuses not to fight that interesting fight after all.
DAZN is BAD!!! for BOXING!!!
Bad production, FIXED FIGHTS!!! (...)
... while Wilder vs Ortiz wasn't/isn't fixed...
... while Fury on WWE isn't full shit...
... a.s.o...
... that's the state of boxing to date...

WBSS plus canelo and aj fights for 10 a month. production does suck but **** it. if your a true boxing fan then you'd appreciate at least some quality content
Eddie Hearn is the Scott Coker of boxing. Those freak show fights like Kimbo vs. Dada 5000 got huge ratings but the Bellator brand was tarnished. DAZN is going the same direction. Jose Ramirez and Inoue got huge paydays and moved on from that dumpster fire. De la Hoya is a train wreck, Hearn's a carnival barker, their biggest star is fading in popularity, and their second biggest star was humiliated by a short, fat Mexican. I don't see how they can compete with ESPN+ which has diversified beyond boxing.

Hope they actually release the viewing numbers - a good test for DAZN.
Amateur fight generated 1 million views at $10 a buy. What should DAZN have done?
