I know he is still a bit unproven but do you think Tank's style would be a problem for Juan Manuel Marquez or would Marquez counter punch his way to a win.
Its safe to say Marquez would get dropped probably multiple times. But i see Marquez eventually picking him apart the question would be if its enough to make up for those knockdowns i almost guarantee would happen
Davis is unproven while Marquez is proven.
Davis is 25 years old already and hasnt fought chit. I was thinking he was 23 or something.
They move fighters along more slowly these days. So many 30 year old who have fuk all on their resumes but an undefeated record.
Very true. They move them along too slowly and start them too late and don't fight often enough these days. They are often older past prime by the time they are proven. I think Davis could beat his competition but they need to throw his ass in there and quit cherry picking.
Well - style, yes - just watch Freddie Norwood fight... but then question is if Davis is even on that level. For what We know He might get hit with someone with power and precision and fold down.
You can never take seriously a fighter who's so petrified of competition. If You don't have mentality for the game, then all those flashy abilities You have that allow You to bully C-level fighters won't be enough while competing with A level fighters.
No. In his prime Marquez was a nightmare counterpuncher with some of the best combinations. Not to mention he had power as well. Marquez would have a good size advantage as well.
Yes Marquez could be dropped and hurt but that only made him more dangerous. But the determining factor for me is that Marquez went head to head and was competitive all times with one of the best southpaws to ever box in Pacquiao.

Marquez would win but he would def get dropped early on puncher like Tank with his speed is def going to land on Marquez early.
But Marquez style is just to technical for Tank imo his main assets are his physical gifts to beat Juan you need to be have some good technical skills mixed with athleticism.
Tank so far seems like he purely relies on hand speed and power and not enough technical skills or defense to match if he tries to solely bully and rush Juan he will make you pay with hard counters so unless Tank has great chin he will take brutal punishment and prop get dropped himself.
It would be an interesting fight whilst it lasted. Marquez has been dropped by fighters worse than Davis which is down to him grabbing the bull by the horn.
Haven't seen enough from Davis that would lead me to believe the clean work of Marquez would see a late round tko.
Bradley and Pac did as well.I had the Bradley fight a draw and Marquez arguably beat Pac like three times + knocked him out cold. Not sure what you're saying..
But to answer ts, it would be a competitive fight for sure. Marquez was known to go to war and not back down. Watch the Juan Diaz fights along with Katsidis.
Bradley and Pac did as well.
Pac was Knock out all Pac vs Marquez fights ended in Controversy where many believe Marquez was robbed until he settled the score by sleeping Pacquaio. Forgot about Bradley but he was one of the best Welterweight a division which was to high for Marquez and like I stated Davis is not in that level Bradley himself would kill Tank
No Marquez is leagues above Davis who so far fights bums and has never fought no one near Marquez’s level. The only person to dominate Marquez was Mayweather and Davis is no Mayweather
It would be a massive problem trying to get Team Tank to sign a contract to fight marquez thats for sure. Tank may go down as one of the biggest duckers in the sport, even the LDBC are getting tired of him and thats saying something.
