Its always an issue with fights over there.
I have more confidence with fights in China.
You know how many times over the last 20 years I have read about some Saudi prince wanting to pay more money than Vegas for some boxing match to take place in his garage or some other BS and the fight never materializes....
Right. I’m not trying to bash Saudi, if anything big fights in foreign countries are even more intriguing. But u said it, just like Arum used to. Saudi always claiming to want to host a big fight but the money never showed up. “If it’s too good to be true...guess what?”
Honestly, I have no clue. AJ does have a big following in Saudi and he has ties outside of boxing to some middle east countries. On top of that, if we have Eddie Hearn bleating about how everything is going to be fair and on a level playing field, it would be smart to assume the opposite will be the case. I would expect this weird Saudi behaviour to affect Team Ruiz more than Team AJ. Could see some weird chit happening in that sense. Goes without saying, the Gypsy King was treated like royalty while over there, didn't have any issues. He's now home and well in the northwest of England.
WWE held events there prior also. Events worth 45-60 million reportedly. Apparently they weren’t paid for the last event leading up to the current one. I’m just saying there was friction over money, the live stream and exit out of the country. What Saudi boxing match are u referencing that comes close to that sort of event or like the one in December? I’m just saying the latest big money event had issues, it doesn’t mean things won’t work out for the December 2nd match. But if ur gonna reference sum past no money fight between two people nobody heard of as being more relevant than a big money event that has just happened, I just don’t get it.

You're not allowed to ask questions like this. They reflect poorly on our Hearn our Lord and Saviour.
If he don't even know what boxing has been on over there he is on the wrong forum.
Are the same people involved? If not then i don't see your point in bringing it up.
Of course. Everything is run by MBS and the House of Saud. I mean the fact that one family has had a vice grip on every aspect of Saudi Arabia for decades now is one of the major criticisms. The WWE have been doing big business with Saudi each last few years. They had financial issues due to non payment and rumoured that their employees were held from leaving one way or another. DAZN has never done business with Saudi as far as I know. This latest ordeal with WWE is the closest analog to what’s going down on Dec. 2nd. There’s every right to bring it up. U think this precedent wouldn’t matter to Hearn or DAZN?!!!
It’ll be fine, Hearns one way or another’s will find a way to make this happen!
It’s too much money to pass up and too much money to let it go down the drain!
If they have to have helicopters with snipers buzzing around the ring, former conmen turned Astute accredited advisors or hire a coalition army an private contractors then it will get done!
Hearn doesn’t give a dàmn if he has to put it on top of a pyramid with a ring apron on it!

Rumble in the Jungle, thrilla in Manila. I used to think a huge fight meant an obscure location. Tokyo. South Africa. I still think crazy things are more likely to happen in rare places. An exotic location might mean a Canadian judge, and we both know that prolly means a crazy score. I’m hoping for just a pinch of “only in Saudi Arabia”...

Well seeing as there has already been Boxing in Saudi id say we dont have to look at something else to see how Boxing may do in Saudi.
