I'm no fan of Ward...but he is a long day in the ring vs anyone...he is very tough and smart, though I feel a bit too dirty and a bit protected as well...I can't see Canelo really lining up for that fight...it would at best for Canelo be an ugly fight that Canelo maybe outskills Andre and can claim a legit victory...if Andre is able to get tough and dirty it is possible he hurts/roughs up Canelo, which could lead to a stoppage...I also can't see Andre readily agreeing to Canelo's demands in negotiations...Andre seems to be a proud man and I don't think he would want to limit himself with catchweights and restrictions.
And imo that is why this fight would never really happen...Canelo is a great fighter...but I think the fight with Ward has limited upside money wise...and does have some legacy wise...but I don't see him taking a big risk like that unless there is a great reward...and I don't really see the great reward, over and above what he can get vs. other active guys...and he can probably negotiate better terms with guys other than Ward right now...as far as weight etc.
Canelo doesn't have the volume or the size to beat Ward I don't think. I'm not even sure it would be that entertaining? Ward is just too clever for almost anybody really, let alone a guy he's towering over.
I think Ward has too big an ego to allow himself to be crippled with any weight stipulations. Ward would not come back just for the money, he’s crazy like that.
At least Andre Ward is willing to at least entertain the remote possibility of a comeback based on how much money is being offered and who is the next opponent is going to be. If Canelo, DAZN and GBP make him a lucrative offer, then he will comeback in a heartbeat.
I can sense it in Dre. Boxing is not totally out of his system. He still feels that can compete on an elite and championship level. He still feels like he has something else to offer his detractors and haters.
As for Floyd; He is done. His boxing career has come to a glorious end. He doesn't have boxing in him no more.
I’d say yes but who knows. He would be 36 and inactive for a long time, so maybe not.
P4P and prime for prime, Ward was a level above Canelo.
I believe Ward was about to start entering a decline and he knew it and got out before it happened.

Ward is too inactive now. That 3 year layoff will kill him. Canelo by UD.
I would love to watch Ward lowblow Canelo though of all people who deserve it the most
i would think Ward could beat Canelo in a 117-111/116-112 type fight but not sure he would be awarded the decision, but I wouldn't be shocked if Ward stops Canelo, Canelo might be the P4P king right now but he has shown signs of gassing
Is this a joke?
Even though I'm no fan of Ward's tactics, he would cream Canelo in a 12-0 shutout (which would probably translate to a draw in Canelo Vegas).
haha or do a kovalev dive in 12 round
