Would Golovkin fight Bivol at 175? To make a Canelo trilogy more attractive?

The diva fought a GGG leftover in Jacobs, maybe Golovkin should return the favor and fight Kovalev ("He's still dangerous") :lol1: I would be in favor of GGG fighting Kovalev next instead of Kamil Szeremeta as is being rumored.

Golovkin only got round to fighting to win a title in his own division when he was 33 and that was against the weakest titlist ever, I think you are asking a bit much.

GGG ain’t about taking too many challenges. Fighting Jacobs and Canelo for him and his fans puts his resume over the top, makes him an ATG. He won’t take too many of those challenges. He’s waiting on Canelo and that’s it. In the meantime he will be fighting tomato cans like in his last fight. I would love to see Canelo vs Bivol next honestly. Canelo gives Bivol his first L imo. I agree that Canelo could probably do very well against Bivol.

I think ggg has more chance against Beterbiev than he does Bivol actually, however it's just too far for him to jump. I'd be astonished if he rose above 168 anytime soon Its too far for him to jump yet Canelo just did it. It just shows who is the better fighter.

I guess he can fight Murata instead. But that's not going to increase demand for a third fight. :lol1: I strongly doubt that GGG getting beaten by Bivol would increase the demand for a third fight either. Man, I wouldn't even have been confident in picking a prime GGG to beat Bivol at 175, and he'll be 38 the earliest that fight could even happen. That said I still wouldn't mind seeing it, I still think he could give a pretty good account of himself but I don't think he'd win.

If Canelo fights Bivol (who happens to be with DAZN) then Golovkin can fight Beterbiev. That way the winners can meet to unify all the belts at 175 lbs. golovkin is not interested in that fight.. too much risk.. not much reward.. he would be in a war..

Old ass Golovkin shouldn’t be fighting prime killers. Golovkin vs Kovalev would have been better for him. Golovkin is getting wobbled by every one at the moment. i never liked canelo to be honest but you have to be unbiased here. after what i saw, canelo gives ggg a beating.. :(

Bivol would light GGG up like a christmas tree

No he would not. The third fight between Canelo and GGG has been the most attractive since the day GGG got robbed by the Vegas judges and lost his titles by one point on a split decision. It's the fight most boxing fans and DAZN have always wanted. It's the biggest fight Canelo could possibly have and much bigger than Canelo fighting washed up, shot to hell 4 to 1 undergog Kovalev. GGG is just a humble but proud middleweight champion who wants to be a good champion at his natural fighting weight Canelo is the bragger who talks about taking risks and daring to be great and making history and blah blah blah. Let Canelo fight Bivol at either 168 or 175. Bivol has been asking for that fight for a long time, Let Canelo live up to his bragging and fight a really good prime young fighter like Bivol who has never lost or been KOed like 13 to 1 underdog Fielding or 4 to 1 underdog Kovalev.
