This is the most disrespectful thing I’ve seen from the sport

Because they punked last minute. They thought Canelo should be bigger than Masvidal vs Diaz then when the fight date came close they realized more people in the general public were actually getting excited about the UFC fight and backed down. That’s what happens when most feel you’re cherry picking an old man Nobody is that excited for this fight. Casual fans I know aren’t even aware it’s happening Even this forum is relatively quiet for a Canelo fight

I would have absolutely fuming stuck in the arena for hours on end.

As someone who ordered the UFC PPV, I appreciate them delaying this fight lol. But yeah, not a good look. DAZN just wanted to assure Canelo/Kovalev and Joshua/Ruiz being on different billing cycles so they were hell bent on this date.

Definitely a bad look. There just weren’t any other options as they didn’t want this fight and the Ruiz/Joshua rematch in the same 30 days to drive subs. I’m sure they were hoping Diaz would pull out of the UFC fight though that was probably never happening.
