Canelo's head and upper body movements are so precise that he fools casuals who believe he gets hit when he doesn't. He will go for the body, perhaps by ducking and closing the distance. It will be interesting to see how he copes with K's big jab, that is the key and it's not an easy one.
Perhaps Canelo has taken K on as a test for himself if so that's great and that by itself should make for a great fight.
Im just curious to see which style Canelo comes out to. If he fights like he did in GGG 1 he will lose. I think he needs to fight like he did with Danny Jacobs (head movement, slipping, rolling, effective countering). Kovalev needs to be himself and use distance and that great jab of his. Which ever fighter gets tired first will lose this fight imo. Im 50/50 with this fight as well as the Diaz vs Masvidal.
He has good head movement and a great chin but he can be hit flush in the mouth by power punches and has been lots of times. Canelo has a great chin and takes a punch very well. Kovalev has KOed some very good light heavyweights and they don't call him crusher for nothing. Kovalev KOing Canelo seems very possible. Kovalev might land a perfect straight right to Canelo's jaw and then we will see what happens.
He has some of the best head movement I've seen. There's no way Kov kos him. Thoughts?

That is the reason I give him a good chance agains Kov. He faced a fighter with the same dimensions that was more athletic.
I agree with you, Canelo’s calling card is great head movement and ring generalship. He also has a great chin as well. I don’t rate him as an ATG (at least not yet), but he definitely has a good shot at weathering or avoiding Kovalev’s attacks.
I expect Canelo to win by decision.
