the amount of flush power shots Spence took straight on his chin is troubling.Porter has got to be the most featherfisted WW contender right now.
Spence is lucky he survived. he is very slow and throws looping shots from the hips.
Porter does have power, he buzzed Spence about 3 or 4 times in the fight!
The most he got close to actually hurting Spence was in the 3rd round and the 11th Round!
In the 3rd round he clocked Spence with a left hook and right hook combo on the temple and Spence legs actually shifted and he started backing up and put his guard up!
In the 11th after Porter’s glove touched the canvass, Spence tried to go for the kill and Porter ended up countering Spence with right hands and hooks to the face which visibly buzzed Spence and forced him to back up!
I’ve always said that Porter could win if he fights using his strengths to the absolute max!
He has faster feet and faster hands than Spence and he’s more experienced! It showed, if a rematch happens I think Porter needs to work on taking advantage of Spence when he’s buzzed!
The straight rights and bodyshots plus uppercuts was money for Porter!
Porter wasn't accurate. He didn't land that many clean shots on Spence. But of course he did force Spence out of his comfort zone, so all those wild shots were not wasted.
he landed flush on spence's face every single round
People are comparing Gamboa to Shawn Porter... What is going on somebody help me please.
Why are fans this dense? The most physical welterweight in probably history of the welterweight division, a sucked in football player is being compared to an undersized Gamboa. What is going on..... This has to STOP.
This is Porters major flaw is HOW he throws his punches. Arm punchers look like they have big power but in reality its wasted motion.
Derek Chisora also has this same issue, probably even worse 'I guess that is what Team Hayemaker is trying to improve'.

no he doesn't. i can tell by his head construction he has at best an above average chin. he was visibly hurt by Porter several times.
You sound dumb, you can tell by his head construction?are you his doctor or chiropractor?if he was hurt why didn't he hit the canvas?like I said he's never been dropped in his boxing life, you dont get away having a weak chin doing that,Crawford,Thurman,Porter, wilder,aj,was all dropped as amateurs like most people are
Funny how lucky Spence is. He wins every fight and nobody has knocked him down yet. Just call him that lucky undefeated champion.
Weird how lucky he is huh lol, Unified Champion now
So what do you think Danny Garcia is going to do if he lands one of them shots?
Probably the same thing that Kell Brook, Lamont Peterson and Shawn Porter did, continue to get broken down

Wow that's funny, I was literally just thinking how people think Spence would do vs maidana from broner or mayweather 1 fights.
Spence has a dodgy inside game yeah sometimes he throws back with intent and other times he just covered up and didn't know what to do it seemed. Other times clinch but can get beat up in the clinch quite easily so. I think a tough high stamina inside fighter with pop is a style that would be all wrong for him. I didn't score the fight but porter left the more impressive impression to me. I find it hard to believe they threw the same amount of punches seemed like most of the time Shawn was throwing 2 to Spencer 1
Seriously. Watching that fight i thought Spence probably wont have thrown as much as he did vs Brook(he was wailing on Brook all night applying crazy pressure), and Porter seemed to be outworking him. Come the punchstats and Spence has thrown more punches than Porter somehow(more than him in most except about 3) and over 100 more than he did vs Brook.(I know that fight ended in 11).
The entire fight was Porter doubling and tripling, sometimes quadrupling the jab while Spence was stalking behind a high guard and then Porter wailing like a madmen while Spence threw the odd punch inbetween Porter’s combos. Very surprising that Spence somehow ended up with more thrown punches.
I thought we were discussing power, because if Gamboa had some power he would have stopped Bud with the amount of clean shots he landed. “IF”
Gamboa does have power. He’s a puncher.
did Gamboa go onto arguably beat Crawford?

He has more power than you think he wiped out Paulie Mallinagni.
He ran through Andre Berto nothing is wrong with his power he is not given credit for his technical skills not just a bum rusher as everybody thinks:boxing:
When factoring Porter's chin, stamina, and durability, if he had the power of a Thurman or Spence he would be the best welterweight, and likely best fighter in the world...But he doesn't...and the only fighter who may possess all the attributes at 147 is Spence. Thurman's not durable. Old Pacman no longer has the stamina. Crawford comes from 135 and was stanky legged by Gamboa, so he has the skills but also lacks the durability. The only fighter with all those attributes would be a prime Pacman who would likely work Spence over IF Spence fought in the fashion he fought against Porter
You refer to him getting wobbled once as a lack of durability I don't think that's fair. Horn was bigger and more rugged than gamboa and couldn't put a dent in Crawford yet he bullied pacman
