Everyone else is still reporting 300k+. One site is calling Spence the new PPV king. Lol. I don't believe that, but 300k sounds more reasonable than 62k.
Every boxing site is using the same source, a tweet by Coppinger. Mission accomplished by whoever fed him that information. Coppinger always has the PBC PPV numbers within 48hrs after a PPV, no other reputable boxing reporter manages to get and report these numbers, maybe because they're unable to verify and corroborate like a true journalist is supposed to?
Anyone with an IQ over 100 can see that both the 62K and 300K numbers are bogus. Fox Sports does not release the PBC PPV numbers, for their last two PPV fights the only person to report PPV numbers has been Coppinger.
Whether it's true or not, these numbers are hard to dispute. That's why it's imperative not to believe any of them. Berto vs Mayweather did less than 300K, for example. Yet cult members like to throw figures like 500K...
L-O-L, hard to dispute a photoshop? You positive??

Hahahahahaha
All of sudden Spence boys are silent figuring out what’s going on lol
Its a fake post, there is literally no link you can give to show he EVER posted this..how desperate can a person get to make up a fake post and people believe it without doing any research?

Have you looked into watching at a theater? Believe its like $20 at the theater. And to me its the best way to watch a fight on that giant ass screen. Granted all fights arent at theaters, but more & more are & Errol vs Shawn was one of them.
Just watched at the theater for the first time with this fight. It was pretty cool you dont have to be quiet like a movie. Dudes was up in their talking ****.
I havent had a bad experience yet & been to about 4 of them now iirc. Usually solid boxing fans who dont drink show up. Or I havent been to one where they served drinks yet or someone snuck in something & got wild. Usually a couple dads brings their sons. Pretty respectable. Might be too respectable for some cats here in fact lol.
Check out Fathom Events website next time a big PPV fight is coming up. If you got a decent sized town nearby my guess is they will have it.
Thanks bro...thanks for the advice/info...
People need to stop quoting this idiot as any sort of official source.
Just because a bunch of dumbshts used Glaser's idiocy to talk crap about Golovkin doesn't mean you should become a dumbsht in return to taunt Spence.
This **** right here ^. And in a wider sense it's this kinda nonsense that dominates posting on the forum - like dudes trying to up the stupid ante in the belief that they're winning some battle, when in fact all they're doing is proving themselves to be just the same as the guys they're trying to outdo.
Celebrating fights selling badly just so you can claim some kinda weird Pyrrhic victory makes no sense to me at all as a boxing fan - regardless of the truth of the claim.
Get the fuck outta here! It's just been under 48 hours since the fight has aired. That's not nearly enough time to tabulate all of the numbers :lol1:
this is 2019, not 1919
you think some dudes have a pencil making tally marks?
they should know by the end of the fight how many people bought the ppv

I haven't...I'll have to look that up...I feel like that experience could go only two ways...great or absolutely awful lol...but yeah I am not in a huge city but maybe there are still options like that around here
Lol man aint gonna be no $10 PPVs. Im sure the do focus groups & studies on PPV sh^t to keep prices right in that sweet spot of getting them the best revenue on average.
But I get you. It sucks being a boxing fan costs so much or you gotta be on top of streams n sh^t + how do you grow boxing to its highest point when the best stuff the fewest people get to see because its behind a paywall. Hard to have any viral organic moments like other sports do when few can watch your sport live.
Yeah it's kind of a catch-22 for sure...I am glad boxers are at least getting paid well, relative to say MMA fighters...so at least these guys are getting millions vs hundreds of thousands for the punishment they take.
Who knows what will happen with DAZN but I do like their platform somewhat...$100 for probably 5+ PPV fights for a year is a great deal...and I already had ESPN+ so have gotten some OK fights there...though again they put most decent fights on PPV...but for $60 a year I at least get some good sports/content.
But yeah I just have 0 interest in paying $50+ for a PPV...just not worth it for me...I paid for Kov-Ward 1 and Canelo-GGG 1...and probably would have done Canelo-GGG 2 if I was in town...had to leave for the hurricane.
Would probably cough up like $50 for Crawford-Spence too...but of course that one will be well north of that so I will be sh.it out of luck.
And I hate people so don't want to watch these fights at a bar :) lol...oh well, watching the sh.it the next day isn't all that bad...at least that is an option.
I think boxing is on a slight rise right now & Im 99% sure boxing has never had so much money coming into it as it does right now
I hear ya man...I have been wrong before and will be wrong again...I look forward to more information coming out.
And I like Spence...and Porter...don't really like Mikey...so I would be happy for them in a way if the PPV did well.
But at the same time I wouldn't like it because to me this is a $10-$15 fight and I just would never pay $80 for it...so if these types of fights really become high dollar PPV fights, well I will just always have to watch them the next day I suppose.
Somebody is lying. We will find out soon enough.
No we wont. All we will hear is what they want us to hear. It does not matter who the promoter is, they all want it to appear to be a success.
