Spence was in a tough style match up he wasn’t exposed

I agree. I've gradually come to respect D Garcia as a top welter. I think it would be a good, action fight with more clean punching than Saturday's fight. The more I think about the fight , the more intrigued I am I think it would be a pretty good scrap and absolutely with much more clean punching Hopefully the right Danny shows up good and ready

The reason why so many fans are saying that Spence was exposed is because Shawn "Showtime" Porter looked like shit in his last fight against a gatekeeper status fighter in Yordenis Ugas. It was a fight in which many boxing fans believed he lost. That's why. Spence was supposed to steamroll past this allegedly shopworn version of Shawn Porter with ease but it damn neared backfired.

Dont think he was exposed, actually think he showed an extra layer to his game (was wondering how he would deal with the constant pressure and intensity from Porter if he didnt get him out there and in my eyes he did really well). I never subscribed to him being the boogyman of the division and the clear best in the division he has never been that in my eyes.

This is absolutely correct I don’t think Spence was exposed but we did learn a few things about the man As you stated and that’s why I believe that him fighting Garcia ( if he does ) will tell us about his chin Porter unfortunately for him , could not come close to hurting Spence at all I was totally convinced that Porter would have some success early on but I was also 100% convinced that Spence would adapt and get him out of there So in reality , imo , he also showed he has a hard time adjusting and where the Fugh was that power Don’t give me the Garcia fight as an example as I thought Spence was just cruising I agree. I don’t get why anyone thinks he was exposed. He won the fight despite facing that style really for the first time as a pro. A style that don’t let you think and Spence basically went toe-to-toe with it. He was exposed alright. Exposed as the number 1 or 2 best Welterweight IMO.

Exposed most be the most over used word in boxing nowadays. I've always respected Porter's toughness and "fight anyone" attitude rather than admired his skill but he surprised me with his ability to box with Spence and I thought some his of angles and the way he would turn Spence on the ropes were very classy. I'll hold my hands up and say I underestimated him. As for Spence, he struggled like damn near everyone who's fought Porter but I give him credit for producing the decisive moment when he needed as I felt the fight was heading Porter's way until the knockdown. Anyone up for seeing a rematch?

First off Spence won that fight 115-112 pretty clearly he was beasting all fight with body shots he had some trouble cause porters rugged wrestling and rushing style is tough for the way he fights and his southpaw stance, but you can’t say cause porter gave him hell that Crawford or pacquaio would do the same cause they don’t fight that way. Also porter has way more energy than just about anyone he never gets tired that’s not the case with manny and Terrance as they take rounds off you just can’t use this fight to compare with Crawford or pac. I will say this though Crawford can beat him but it wouldn’t be no walk in the park there wasn’t any exposing as some people on here are trying to make it seem. Spences fans and himself created the narrative that it’ll be an easy KO fight for him... and it hit back right to him real quick.. Had he not said it’ll be easy. Had it not everyone hyped up spence too much.. then people wouldn’t have been surprised by what porter can actually do to him... He himself said if he doesn’t get the KO it’ll be a disappointment... So now it is I rooted for porter, and still me myself was surprised by how well he showed up, let alone those guys who completely wrote him off idk how surprised they would have been... So the only reaction the situation will composed was “oh you got expose” or “wow porter was actually good”

He was exposed. If he’s a top 10 p4p fighter, he should have boxed Porter’s ears off. It was a close fight. I think he’ll have an uphill battle to beat Crawford. I would have picked Spence before last night. I also think he would have his hands full at 154. I didn’t think that before last night. Has anyone boxed Porters ears off? I haven’t seen it.

I wonder if people who say Porter would hurt Pac knows that they are long time sparring partners and Pac knows him really well. With that being said. This was always going to be a tough fight the Spence *** riders who said Porter was a bum are the only who need to be called out for that nonsense.

I wouldn't say exposed. But let's be real here. Spence doesn't look as invincible after the fight with Shawn as his fans were making him out to be. Not taking anything away from Shawn, he did what he had to do to have a chance against Spence and he could have won it if it wasn't for the KD. Before the fight I thought Spence would have walked through the rest of top ww. Now I think it's more than possible that Manny, Bud, and even Keef will beat him. All 3 of those fighters are a level above Porter skillwise.

Well I had Porter winning the fight closely as did many fans but Spence certainly wasn't exposed. Still an excellent fighter and Porter could have been a bad match up for him but his rep as the boogey man did get exposed. He's not the destroyer of worlds many thought and he's showing more and more flaws. Pacquiao, Crawford, healthy Thurman, and hell maybe even Garcia have a shot at beating his guy. He's not above the rest as he and his fans thought.

According to who, fan's? The majority of professional fighters interviewed predicted it would be a rough fight for Spence. Porter is a tough outing for anyone. Then how come the betting odds don't agree with these predictions?

Floyd is in a class of his own and he was past it when he fought Maidana. Styles do make fights but special fighters in their prime dont struggle that much against Porter level opponent. And what is "Porter level" guy? Porter is two time world champ and clearly top 5 in division.

I will have to be honest. I don't see this version of Erroll Spence, Jr. Who just fought Shawn Porter defeating Terence Bud Crawford. For one, he ate too many clean combination punches to the head; Two he was outboxed by the much shorter Porter and lastly he was simply outworked by Shawn Porter as well.

I think lots of people knew Porter would be a tough fight. Spence's accurate punches and the knock down were the difference. That said, Porter showed if you take the fight to Spence he's not hard to hit and a better puncher might have had him in trouble. If you go through the gauntlet and consistently fight A and B level fighters, you're going to have more hard nights than not plain and simple. What is most irritating is the people who are shouting 'exposed' were the same ones that were saying he'd have an easy night before the fight...this flip floppers are the most annoying. they got exposed... that was always going to be a tough fight
