I don't know why they keep giving him more, but I guess it does speak somewhat to matchrooms confidence in AJ (or lack of) but they have signed up Dillian Whyte to celebrity masterchef. This kind of profile increasing with the non boxing casual uk public is always done when a promoter hopes to capitalise and make a big push or comeback. It's also a complete waste of money and time if you already have someone with the largest profile in boxing and have faith in him so it made me think Eddie is lining up back up plans. Caught me by surprise when I saw the advertisement.
But AJ didn’t do shows like Masterchef and most of the appearances he made on TV were just talk shows and they were after he had big fights and his name was all over the press and TV. The only show I can think of with any semblance to this that AJ did was the SAS one where he was involved in stunts.
Yes hence me saying they had to take what they could get :P Also you don't put someone with failed drugs tests somewhere that people can ask them about those failed drug tests aka a chat show.
whyte appears on tv cooking show=hearn thinks aj is a bum
solid logic
I guess I should ignore arguing logic from people who can't comprehend basic sentences but I can't resist.
I never said anywhere that AJ was a bum I simply stated it shows a moving of resources. Previously all heavyweight resources went to AJ and the others got the trickle down effect. The fact that you took "AJ is a bum" from my post shows the bias in your own views, don't paste that crap on to me. Stop defending when there has been no attack made, cringy ass boxER fans rather than boxING fans.
I am so confused as to how that conclusion was drawn.

When matchroom does stuff like this, it is for a push. Khan got a lot of it when he was pretending he would face Brook then he he conned people and went and got sparked for money by Crawford. TV slots on regular basic free UK channels for boxers are rare now, very rare actually and in the UK AJ has had them absolutely sewn up but he has barely made an appearance of late. So it's not a leap of logic at all to look at this as Hearn making sure all avenues are open, because as long as they keep ignoring the drug issue Whyte is his most marketable heavyweight. If you are still confused after that very basic explanation you may need a walk and some fresh air.
How's masterchef ...
Probably won't especially as he is neither bad enough to make good TV nor good enough to win which are the only 2 reasons it would have raised his profile. TV slots on day time tv in the UK are non existent for boxers though so I guess it's a matter of take what you can get. I also agree and it would serve Matchroom a right good dose of karma if he does leave if he gets a belt. Regardless of how I think of him and his drug issues, his career has not been handled well. Outwardly it appears it has been going ok but the amount of money wasted chasing the WBC and time wasted in 2017 and 18 is all on them.
I had mainly made the post hoping for some good B side cooking humour though and a few have delivered so thanks.
Whyte came from small shows to fight better competition than Wilder fight over fight and delivers fight of the year contenders every season.
he deserves everything he gets.
