The fact he is going up two divisions without a catch weight is blowing my mind I can’t even hate. I thought he won the first fight but he allowed Ward to get back into the fight and make it very close. I thought showed some issues with stamina in that fight. The second fight I did not like how he reacted to that flush punch from Ward that had and his body language in the next round. I give Ward credit for how he came back in that first fight but Kovalev seemed OK with not to going after him. Alvarez is a top guy, no doubt. I think his fans annoy me , more than he does. I enjoy watching the guy fight and I'm looking forward to the Kovalev fight. I can Respect that. I'm critical of certain fighters too and I have my favorites. But I give credit where credit is due.

Yet his Haters claim he's a guy with no skills and a big right hand . Canelos skills are rarely critiqued by his Haters . If a fighter acts like a diva (that's my opinion) and claims he's the best and "This is my era" (that's a fact) he's going to be held to a higher standard. That just goes with the territory. I'm not hating. it's a good challenge of a fight at a heavier weight, however it's a very well calculated risk. Kovalev has been looking like crap for a few years now, and has demonstrated high susceptibility to body punching since 2nd Ward fight. That plays right into Canelo's strengths - hand speed and body work. Their height difference will work even further into giving Canelo the advantage. Comparing this to other recent fighters jumping two divisions is laughable. Mikey jumped two divisions to take on a 27 (?) year old champ just entering his prime. Brook jumped two divisions two a slowly fading unified world champ. Rigo jumped two divisions against a P4P fighter in his prime. Kovalev is none of them. He's a quickly fading fighter with TKO losses and a known weakness. Would anyone be really surprised if Canelo wins in 3rd round via body punching?
