I was just wondering what Bivol was up to and if he was going to fight again before the year is over.
A quick look at his boxrec page shows he is supposed to fight on the undercard of the Usyk vs Sponge HW fight in Chicago with no opponent lined up as of yet.
Any speculation as to who that might be?
Feel free to just discuss Dmitry Bivol in general also. I think he is someone to look out for in 2020. Big things could be brewing. The more I watch him the more I like what I see.
His manager Kornilov a while said that they have a choice and they've been negotiating with some future opposition, so i think you cant call it a last minute opponent, he should be at least in shape and not coming of some layout, any 5 to 15 175lbs
Checked his Instagram and Twitter. Nothing. At this rate their gonna have to pick the toughest looking Ukrainian out of the crowd that showed up to watch Usyk..
Seems like it will have to be a last minute journeyman to beat up at this point... sigh
Yeah likely...N that's disappointing cuz I'm going to this card.
I read that Bivol against Browne was to be made (probably the fight after Bivol's next one), but Pascal threw a spanner in the works. Props to Pascal though.
Ah yes so Top Rank has all the other 3 LHW champs. So no I couldn't see him fighting any of them in Oct since they are all tied up. I guess the general consensus is that he should sign with Top Rank or move down to Super Middle Weight and mix things up there.
No idea. Not sure who they have at LHW. I could see him fighting some lower ranked euro guy to stay busy possibly, while eyeing the Gvozdyk/Beterbiev winner.
He says he doesn't want to fight his own countryman so hopefully Gvozdyk wins that one. Would be a better fight I think anyway.
All I know is I don't wanna see him fight Jean Pascal again now that he has retained some relevancy after roughing up Marcus Browne. It could happen though since that was some interim wba title I believe?
It will probably be a Fornling or Mikhalkin euro type
You think he's fighting a Top Rank guy about a month from nkw?

Lol and who said bags don't hit back?
Time will tell. I'd like to see him agaisnt some top 10 guys now after that one sided beating he gave Joe Smith Jr.

Won't be close to being as good as Alvarez or Ramirez

I hope some good comp Bivol needs a live opponent in Alvarez or Ramirez I think he will go on to be the guy at 175 but ot seems no one wants to fight him.

Bivol vs the winner of beterbiev/gvozdyk in the spring!!
Yeah I think everyone would like to see that.
And lol oops I wrote "Sponge" not Spong in the title. Every thread I make has a typo it seems

Well it should be the co-main event or what have you. I hope anyway, but yeah I'm not sure exactly. I'm not in the press or have any sources, just noticed that on boxrec and thought I'd make a thread and ask others.
I hear you
Just weird that all
