plus he is not a real champ at 168..Armstrong was " lineal" in 3 divisions at once not to mention that he was fighting without junior weight classes. armstrong was the world champion first at fw, then WW, then LW. then he reportedly got robbed at 135 for his title in a fight i have not seen. IIRC he never fought at 126 again, the money was all at welterweight.

Regardless of Armstrong Canelo should get huge Props if he pulls it off , Simultaneously 3 Division Champ it only took 1 Gift decision from the Judges , Snatching 1 off a C level fighter for 1 Of the 13 Secondary WBA World Titles & Beating a near 37 year old on the slide who once was the man but now is the weakest Title Holder in the Division, Talk about earning your way into the history books It’s just another example of how F.ucked up the sport has become especially in the last 10 years , Past Achievements that only could be accomplished by almost exclusively ATG / HOF Fighters now with the help of a powerful team , The Pure Greed Of the Sport & Sanctioning Organizations & smart moves made at the opportune Time. Weight differences make a bigger difference in these lighter weights too. Plus most people think he deserved the win when he fought for the 160 lbs title but they ruled it a draw.

I wouldn't consider him a 168 ibs champ as he is holding a regular WBA belt. Callum Smith is the true champ with the WBA super belt. He is really a MW champ at this point. If he beats Kovalev for the WBO LHW belt, then he will be a legit 2 division champ.

No credit for 168 until he beats a real champion. Challenge Smith or Plant. This! He needs to beat a champ not a glorified number one contender. Also he can't drain Kovalev and slap a rehydration clause on him if he wants the cred. If he fights a legit 168 champ and beats Kovalev at 175 no rehydration clause he deserves the accolades and respect.
