There is a big difference between mayweather holding davis back and davis needing to step up. Davis beats everybody at super featherweight and light except loma which i truly believe is a 50/50 fight.but i suppose when you spend time with Jr. Of course you ll only take a dangerous fight unless somebody is pressing you to do it(enter Al). A 50/50 fight with Loma? Can't see that at all. Davis has potential and knocks over tomato cans easily but he is not on Lomas level and hasn't fought anyone close.

He’s 24 now so it’s about time to step up. The biggest problem with how a lot of fighters are brought up and protected now is it stops them from fully developing into the fighter they could be. Look at guys like Mayweather and Canelo. The reason they are as skilled as they are is because of their competition. Iron sharpens iron.
