I'm not impressed by Spence at all.
His claim to fame was giving Floyd a hard time in sparring.
He beat a dwarf in Garcia and a shot broken down Brook who took a beating by GGG resulting in a broken face, and then had to lose a bunch of weight to fight spence. And was whooping Spence ass the first few rounds
Porter is going to make Spence uncomfortable..
Porter will score at least 5 touchdowns.
I do believe uncle Al wont let Spence lose a decision but this fight will be a lot closer than people think.
What happens when Porter gashes Spence eye with a headbutt early in the fight?? How will he respond?
We have seen Porter go through plenty of adversity
I agree. I don't know why people are sleeping on Porter. He's had some solid outings against Danny Garcia and Keith Thurman. Two welterweight names that have yet to fight Spence. I like Spence and I do see this as a breakthrough fight for him if he defeats Porter impressively. His name would grow if he were to dispatch Porter with a dominant victory kind of like Pacquiao with Hatton. But I don't expect an easy fight at all. I think it's more of an uphill battle for Porter, but his swarming style will give Spence fits if he's not able to get off on his punches. A win by either fighter would be impressive because they would have defeated a top 5 welterweight.
I can easily agree to this...5-1 is too much...this will be a defining fight for both...

Difference in philosophy I guess. You’re a conspiracy type dude and I’m an innocent until proven guilty person.
Well Porter has lost twice and had a very disputed Draw with Julio Diaz in 2012; In which many boxing fans felt he had lost.
On the other hand, Erroll is still undefeated. No one has ever come close to defeating him yet. So we shall see if these odds are justified or not but I do expect the odds to narrow as the fight nears.
At 5-1 odds many are going to start putting their money on Shawn Porter. So that gap would almost certainly and inevitably close.
Spence needs a convincing win here to warrant the hype
If this fight ends up close like Brook, Thurman, or García, then there really is no standout in the division
Pacquiao is beating that level of fighter, at age 40. Makes this Porter fight quite a good measuring stick
The 5-1 odds means they're trying to get people to put money on Porter. That doesn't mean Porter sucks.
this is exactly right. 5-1 means that nobody is betting porter and they want to take less money on spence.
TS is more than welcome to put money on the fight. 5-1 are usually the kind of odds you see when a guy in his prime fights somebody on his way out. porter looks like he's in his prime. it is called gambling.
Sounds about right. The difference in skill is obvious. Unless Porter lands a lucky headbutt this should be easy work for Spence. The fight community clowns Wilder for his lack of technical skills, but Shawn Porter is probably the sloppiest fighter in boxing.
put your money down, then. spence can f#cking fight. he's a better boxer than porter and he's got a lot of power. he's literally still getting better. he's left handed and he's going to find porter on his way in. porter has not fought a lefty since devon alexander in 2013! he won't win the boxing match on the outside, definitely won't win the slugfest, wtf is he gonna do other than hope the ref lets him clinch ridiculously and tire spence out or mug him?
Spence juicing? Based on what?
