Dropped DAZN

Whats the possible scenario where GBP wants out of the Canelo business doe? I feel like outside of Canelo being in some pedo rape scandal they'd wanna be in the Canelo business. I can't believe Golden Boy JUST made a deal where they aren't making money with the people throwing money around like candy on Halloween. Golden Boy is a top regional looking promotion without Canelo on their roster. I like some of their prospects, specifically Vergil Ortiz, but idk that Ortiz is gonna be doing Canelo business ever let alone anytime soon. And I dig Ryan Garcia, but he's an L waiting to happen as he continues to step up. I just see Golden Boy going no where fast without Canelo. I guess we will have to wait and see how this turns out.

Well two of those guys tried to Sue Al Haymon and called him a black devil. Don't make it seem like Al Haymon is as bad ss Arum or Oscar Or Hearn. Those guys have all done shady stuff. All have fighters in their stable that I like so beyond tuning in to see guys like Hunter, Ortiz, J Rock, Loma, etc I don't give a shit.....

A BS article posted before this turned into a whole sh^t show suggested Golden Boy tried to make the fight but GGG wouldn't agree to fight in Las Vegas again. If that is true then to me its on GGG cuz beggars can't be choosers. When GGG had the draw with Canelo he had leverage. When he lost the rematch, regardless of how close it was or whoever thought GGG shouldnt gotten the decision, then he lost his leverage. The rematch not happening was on Team GGG. Until I know more about the alleged situation, if there is more to know which maybe there isn't, I'm right there with you here. Idk that I buy that Golden Boy is tired of the Canelo business. Canelo IS the Golden Boy business. Golden Boy is on the value menu of boxing content without Canelo. That said I honestly don't know wtf is going on from Golden Boy's side this is all wonky ass unprofessional sh^t to me, but I think it might be their own bs internally more than its Canelo bs. Oscar is the biggest f#ck up in the promotional game & his whole promotional career has mimic'd a baby bird walking haphazardly across a 6 lane highway & somehow making it to the other side safely. Idk that that baby bird can forever avoid the cars that keeps speeding inches from him doe, The reason I guessing that the desire to split up is mutual is because the actions of GB are odd if they wanted to keep Canelo. On the other hand we haven't heard from GB as to what they say happened.

I try to watch PBC, DAZN and Top Rank fights. We used to root for our favorite fighters, now we root for Al, Bob or Eddie. All this crying been taking the fun out of everything..... If DAZN was doing the same thing to the fighter you're paying DAZN to watch, wouldn't you do the same. Canelo, atm the biggest star in boxing, probably isn't even going to fight until next may now. This is ridiculous. Why support them at this point? How does this help them or boxing..? This is a huge monetary lost for DAZN. I would be really surprised if Canelo sat out till May. If he did that would be a huge loss though.

How is it that DAZN only arrived at 2 people, one who had been shot down already is the better question? DAZN gave Canelo a 1 fight list of opponents & when that fell through as fights often can they f#cked up their own sh^t by losing the 2nd biggest fight date of the year. You can make this about Canelo, but Canelo is getting paid one way or another. DAZN gots more on the line here & they dropped the ball massively with this situation. Canelo could have gone with Golovkin but he chose not to. That's hardly shooting yourself in the foot. Canelo agreed to fight Golovkin because his promotor apparently has the power to sign for him. If true that's his fault or being so stupid as to get into that type of contractual agreement. GB has had enough of Canelo and simply don't care anymore. They apparently don't get any money from Canelo if he fights on DAZN. They get their Canelo money from ticket sales and broadcasters in markets that DAZN doesn't stream to. So really is he worth the headaches since GB now has a good deal promoting other fighters on DAZN.

I signed up in June for a year figuring I get at least 2 Canelo fights including the trilogy and hopefully one WBSS final at a decent (US) time plus the AJ-Ruiz rematch. Pretty disappointed so far minus the Hooker-Ramirez main event (rest of the card was trash), but still for a year it was a good price since I also have bought a few PPVs lately. I could seesomeone paying month-to-month cancelling until they actually get some fights scheduled.

From reports it seems there is a side issue between Golden Boy & Canelo. Thats not about this situation doe. This situation lands firmly on DAZN. DAZN is the one trying to get subs. Canelo isn't trying to get subs. Canelo is trying to get mfing paid via one of these $30M+ paydays from this DAZN deal. Golden Boy is trying to get their piece of that. Everyone was trying to do there job in this situation EXCEPT DAZN. DAZN was trying to throw their dick on the table & it massively backfired & its gonna hurt their multimillion dollar business because of it. Canelo is gonna get a $30M+ payday whenever DAZN allows him to fight. Golden Boy is gonna get their piece of that plus put on their other shows. DAZN is the one who's missing something & its their f#cking fault its missing. I don't know how you are so confused with who's most at fault here. DAZN is the owner of the f#cking business making a play at the US market which is highly competitive. Canelo is an employee. Golden Boy is an employee. And DAZN had one f#cking plan for the 2nd biggest fight date of the year. And it went south & now THEY are f#cked up. Canelo ain't f#cked up. Golden Boy might be f#cked up but thats cuz of this Canelo side sh^t. I've said both sides ****ed up. They should have okayed a bigger list of opponents but Canelo ONLY wanted Kovalev. All sides are to blame but yes DAZN royally ****ed up.

Agreed, the list should have been bigger, but it seems pretty clear that there was no list to Canelo, just Kovalev. If he was as dead set on Sergey as reports made it seem, then it wouldn't have mattered who else they put on the list, it was still Kovalev or nothing for Canelo. It's been known for awhile that Kovalev/Yarde was most likely going to be made for August. There was still a possibility to make it, but Canelo/GBP dropped the ball and were ****ing the IBF and Derev off. Again, there was a whole list of people Canelo could have chosen that weren't about to have a fight signed, which led to the postponement and subsequent problems thereafter. I mean ****, he had to have known a mandatory was going to be enforced, no need dicking around. All parties involved ****ed up massively.

Brother you keep bringing him up. And if Canelo wasn't wanting to fight anyone except Kovalev why was he just trying to make a fight with Derevyanchenko? And why are we thinking if Derevyanchenko wasn't an option on the 2 fighter list he'd have not been considered sooner? Again DAZN only gave him 2 options. GGG, who didn't wanna fight in Vegas. And Kovalev. DAZN could've given Canelo 3 options, 3 options, 5 options or however many options. What Canelo wanted or didn't want didn't matter when DAZN gave him a dead option & Kovalev. How is that DAZN arrived at Kovalev for Canelo?

Regardless of that he was on DAZN's list of acceptable opponents. And they would latter include Derevyanchenko to, but only after they f#cked up the September date. Not to DAZN he didn't he had GGG or a jump to grab a soft belt at 175. It don't matter who Canelo was looking at or not his 160 choices were A CHOICE & it was GGG who wasn't even a fight that was makeable cuz GGG is being a diva himself with wanting the fight outside of Vegas. You the A side you got some say in where its at. You win the fight you got some say in where its at. If you lose & your the B side go f#ck yourself so DAZN's choice wasn't even GGG & Kovalev. It was Kovalev. DAZN didn't throw in your boy Andrade. DAZN didn't throw in Mall. DAZN didn't throw in BJS or Callum or anyone else that people may or may not have wanted to see in September. My boy Andrade? I just said I'm not even that high on him. But they didn't throw anyone else in the mix because Canelo didn't want ANYONE else besides Kovalev. So if GGG had been reasonable & intelligent that fight would be on & a lot of the sh^t show thats now transpired wouldn't have transpired. I mean I'd be lying if I said I was into the idea of a Kovalev fight, but the reality is there are often fighters who grab soft belts in higher divisions. Thats a thing like it or not. Plenty of great fighters have done it. The big problem is DAZN f#cked up Canelo fighting ANYONE in September which is basically a boxing f#cking holiday cuz they wanted to throw their lil dick on the table for no good reason. Maybe MCC's crazy meth head ass is onto something with DAZN going outta business any day now if DAZN felt the need to push THAT hard on a GGG fight in September. Cuz to me you want that fight cuz its gonna attract more subs, but you don't wanna do it at the cost of pissing off your cash cow with limiting his options & f#cking up his normal fight dates. The fact there isn't a fight in September is an awful look for DAZN just like it'd be for HBO back when Canelo was with HBO or like it'd be with Showtime back when Floyd was hijacking May & September from Mexican fights cuz he could with his popularity. Kovalev was in the equation because Canelo put him there. Do you think they just randomly picked Kovalev and said you either fight him or Golovkin? He was on no one's radar. No one was asking for that fight. I actually don't rate Andrade that highly but Canelo wanted all the belts. Go after Demetrius and become undisputed and get that ****ing fight out of the way. I'd rather Canelo stay where he is then go up to 175 for a fight that doesn't do much. (And this is where I'd usually get into questioning how the **** Canelo is able to jump around divisions so much but I'll leave that out). He had a laundry list of guys to choose from, mandatories or not, that didn't have fights already lined up like Kovalev did.

If they were all marketable minus Derev, then it's even more upsetting that he was so adamant on Kovalev. It's marketable, sure. If people made a list of 5 opponents they would've wanted to see Canelo face after Jacobs, I doubt you'd find many that have Kovalev included. I'm sure we could go back and find posts, but we all know Kovalev was on no one's radar until Canelo brought him up. He has all these other young guys to choose from, yet he still insists on fighting a guy who is 3-3 in his last 6, has been stopped in 2 of those and is ****ing 36 years old. And I'm not saying Canelo doesn't have the right to be mad because he should. But I highly doubt we'd be talking about all this right now if Kovalev was never in the running. Of course not because before the rumors started no one would have thought of this as a fight to make. Just like no one would have Pac name on this type of list but if you told me there was a chance they fight of course I would be interested.
