It's clear all GGG needs to do is take Andrede's belt to guarantee a rematch with Canelo. Both GGG and Andrede are on DAZN. Where is all the presure to make that fight happen if the big payday they are after is just one fight away.
Maybe GGG was damaged after the two bouts with Canelo and doesn't have much left...
He absolutely has more, possibly considerably more, than one major clash left in the tank, at least in pure physical terms, with desire being another matter. The reality is that despite being 37, Golovkin is at least several years behind his physical age in boxing years. This is why I can't help but grin and chuckle whenever someone broaches the subject of age discrepancy between he and Canelo, or the notion of Canelo attempting to run down the clock and age out G as a credible threat. Putting aside whatever truth--or lack thereof--there is to all of that, there is a tendency (not among hardcores, but certainly everyone else) to forget that Canelo opted for the Pacquiao path and went pro at 15, at which point he had by all accounts already been thrashing men thrice his age in the amateurs (and maybe "outside" them too) for god knows however long. At 14 he beat all the teeth out of a homeless man for laughing at the color of his shoes for god's sake! Just kidding, but what a hoot! You love the idea.
Anyway, that in contrast to GGG's pro launch at 24 coming off a much longer amateur incubation per the common eastern Euro template. Going off the conventional wisdom that the pros take a considerably higher toll than amateurs--because it's simply ****ing true--even if much of that early pro going, at least for the chosen ones like these two, is just steamrolling an endless lineup of soup kitchen winos while catching nary a scratch...one can reasonably deduce Canelo actually has more "city miles" than Gennady, to quote MIB III (for which I apologize). Or, at least enough to mitigate the 8 year age gap in terms of actual condition, which is the main point here - the physical disparity between the two even accounting for age is less than some would like to think. Things like the knee, vs nothing of note (apparent at least) physically on G's end tend to bear this out (Don't worry, Saul can afford the finest stem cell therapy/clandestine biomedical witchcraft money can buy...dont expect that leg to disintegrate any time soon).
This is definitely neither a salad toss for Golovkin or a dig at Canelo--I like both--(Imagine that!!), but just how I see the reality of the situation, so if that is anyone's kneejerk interpretation of this 4 AM screed (it is, inevitably), just take my word you're mistaken and skip the accusation. But yes, bottom line, plenty more left in the tank for "old chief Golovkin", who looks better than must ****ing 25 year olds I know, if and only if he wants it, which I suspect is a no.

canelo told ggg to get a belt. now ggg will have a belt if he beats derev. dazn used his own words against him but i doubt he cares about being called a liar
Alvarez is WBC Franchise Champion.
Charlo is WBC World Champion.
Golovkin is #1 contender.
Charlo is first in line for the title shot. GGG is the contender to Charlo's title.
It doesn't seem like GGG will be fighting for the rest of the year. It's getting late and there is no stir in who his next opponent could be. Also, if he never gets to fight Canelo again, he'll most likely end his career fighting bums. I Hope this isn't the case but either way he had a good run. RIP GGG / poor investment for DAZN...
Andrade is not a good fight for GGG. And I don't think unifying the division is something Canelo actually cares about. GGG is not the no1 contender with the WBC either, Charlo is.

Maybe GGG was damaged after the two bouts with Canelo and doesn't have much left...The idea that two close fights with Canelo took anything out of GGG is a nonsense. He was never even staggered at any time and gave as good as he took and he is the much harder puncher. Lots of viewers think he won both fights. At the very worse he got a draw and and a razor thin split decision loss in Canelo's back yard. Why would going 12 hard rounds with Canelo take any more out of him than it would take out of Canelo? Canelo got hit as much as GGG did and Canelo is not punch proof. Good tough fighters like GGG and Canelo can go 12 hard rounds many times and be as good as ever. Learn boxing because that statement show you know little.
GGG is also the number 1 contender for every sanctioning body right now except IBF. Wouldn't this eventually make him a mandatory for Canelo?
Also I agree, let's say GGG does get boo boo's belt for his own sake and also before Canelo could get it, wouldn't that be a big fook you to Canelo? That way if Canelo didn't want to fight him then he would never be able to unify division.

Get real. Canelo is never going to fight GGG even if he had one two or three belts. That go get a belt stuff was just a stall. Besides GGG doesn't take orders from Canelo. GGG won't fight Canelo in Vegas so the fight won't ever happen. GGG should try to win a title for it's own sake because it won't get him a Canelo fight.

Reggie you kray kray
boliodogsQuit saying my name ass hole. I don't want to be associated with such a weird fuced up fool as yourself. Kray kray up your ass and that's all she wrote Mayne.
Ggg doesn't have any options besides Andrade if Mungia fights Vargas and Canelo fights Derevyanchenko .
Callum Smith at 168 would be good also but besides that who TF can he fight?
Andrade would make GGG look like a silly idiot. GGG doesn't want that fight. Now I know GGG would beat him. I have read a few of your predictions and you are always wrong, You picked Rolls to KO GGG. Thurman to end Pac's career with a brutal KO. Schwartz to KO Fury in the first round etc. Vanes knocked Andrade on his ass and held him to a split decision. That's the great Andrade.
No guarantees with Alvarez except that he's guaranteed not to fight Golovkin.
There were no worthwhile opponents for the diva in Sept.
So now he's negotiating to fight Deveryanchenko in Oct or Nov. WTF?
at ler 3 ast it would guarantee that GGG listened to Canelo in ''go get a belt first...''

Maybe GGG was damaged after the two bouts with Canelo and doesn't have much left...Maybe Canelo was damaged and doesn't have much left. A win over Andrade would be good but it doesn't guarantee a rematch with Canelo. What is clear is that Canelo will never fight GGG again. He trains hard and takes care of himself. He looked good against Rolls and damn near knocked his head off. He has 5 fights left in his Dazn deal. and he should try to win a world title at 160 or 168 and just forget about Canelo. He is 37 so he can fight well until he is at least 39. He is a hard trainer and a dedicated boxer. Canelo has bad knees and only threw 400 punches at Jacobs. Canelo has fought 400 rounds as a pro in 50 odd fights. He turned pro as a 15 year old kid. GGG has only 200 pro rounds in 37 fights because of so many early KOs. He actually has less ring mileage than Canelo. GGG will win 5 more fights and retire and none of those fights will be with Canelo. That's my prediction.
