And now it is time for his resume' to match his skill set. This dude can box, fight in quarters, fight in range against longer fighters and can CRACK.
He is 24 years old entering his prime. Time to unleash him and time for his time to make a conscious effort to get the top dogs at 130, or at the very least someone like GRJ.
From the champions at 130, Farmer is the ideal next opponent. If he has to go to DAZN for the fight, then so be it. Berchelt doesn't want to fight Herring so maybe Davis' team could send him an offer? That would be a VERY explosive showdown.
But either way, it is go time with Davis.
Him vs LSC would be interesting. Would like to see him against GRJ as well. But Mares... shouldn't he just retire already? I mean he has those issues with the eye. He's playing with fire when he continues to box :/ I hope he would have enough money to just retire at this point, gotta think your health
Ah yeah, forgot about his eye problem. If he's healthy enough, a good, big name for Tank to get on his resume.
Would love to see him fight Leo Santa, or Abner Mares next.

Yeah the whole Mayweather-McGregor saga was just beginning at that point, they even asked him about it post fight
Makes sense. I do recall the build up being good. IIRC, it was right around the time of Spence/Brook. So there was quite a bit of buzz with two title match ups between an American going across the pond against a Brit.
This kid is definitely on my list of must watch fighters.
Definitely. That's why it is even more important this guy starts stepping up his competition. He just sold out the arena against a complete no-namer putting 14k in the arena and is a pure killer in the ring. Let him test his potential greatness against other top level fighters.
I'm guessing that had a lot to do with Davis being linked to Mayweather? Because if not that is random as hell lol.

Drew well over here as well, that’s the fullest I’ve seen the Copperbox at a Warren show haha

And on top of his talent, he's a real draw. Did good numbers in California (with the help of Mares) and had a sellout in his hometown today.
Him against GRJ would sell out the Capitol One Arena.

He has the talent for sure, I was at his fight against Liam Walsh and his speed and power is elite level.
He just needs some more credible wins on his resume to consolidate his P4P status.
Tank isn't good enough to be p4p. Hes too big for his weight class and too small for the next weight. Now that he's hitting 25 hes growing into his man body and wont be able to make 130 anymore. His power wont show at 135 and those guys are too big for him.
He isn't too big for the weight class. He's been making weight just fine lately, once he stopped BSing.
And Davis is a natural puncher where his power will travel. Will he have as much pop at 135 as he does in 130? I don't know, but he will still be a puncher in that weight class as well.

Tank going to follow the Fraud Mayweather blueprint.

Tank needs to move up. Hes too big for this division. Especially when you fight a nobody it's easy to muscle them.
how is he too big for a division he made weight in?
Time to step up or shut up. Get in there with a live dog at 130 or move to 135.
Absolutely, but he hasn't really cleared out 130. I would like for him to stick around here for longer. He needs to get that Farmer fight that he called for after the fight. Farmer isn't going to just sit there and let Davis tee off. Davis will have to think his way to a win in that fight.
I think he beats everyone at 130. Especially boring ass Farmer.
GRJ would be an interesting fight. But I feel like Tank might just walk him down.
He probably does beat at 130....But I need him to show it instead of giving him these hypothetical wins. GRJ fight would be very good indeed.
He is, has all the tools.
But they might take the Top Rank strategy and match him carefully in order to build him up as some unbeatable monster.
What is there to wait for? Dude is 24 years old and now needs to fight better competition. His talent is clear, let him display it against top competition.
Would love to see him fight Leo Santa, or Abner Mares next.
I would have been fine with Mares as his first fight in 2019, but I want to see him fight someone better to end the year. You Ruiz/Nunez/Mares would be disappointing. I'm fine with GRJ or LSC if he can't get Farmer.
