Would you say that is a fair statement?
Josesito Lopez had some success against him attacking the midsection. Collazo hurt him with a body shot and of course Pacquiao did as well in the 10th round of their fight.
Nevermind, that was a solid left, that landed. He cracked Thurman with another left to the body before round's end as well. Excellent work from Pacman! 👍
Maybe he has a liver problem? Manny knocked him down with a right, after a almost feint-looking left to the body, which got him to drop his hands. At least, IIRC.
Thurman has soft abs. If you look at the other welterweights like spence, crawford and even manny, their abs look solid and hard, while thurman's abs is not too shabby, it does not have that hardness or density as the other guys. I am not sure how much time he spends training his abs, but maybe he should start increasing the intensity of that training.
100%. Its been an issue in multiple fights now & I've been of the opinion it'll be a big part in the path to victory for Spence if/when he fights Thurman for awhile.
Yeah and Spence has a great body attack.
He has to be cutting a lot of weight, he's quite thickset for a welter as it is. That midsection will be weak and sensitive, might want to move up or perhaps he fears the power some have at that weight.
Seems to be only on his right side...I don't know if he's been getting hit in the liver or if he has a pre-existing injury there...but I remember the second Collazo landed that body shot Spence flashed through my mind. Same with Pac, who was showing an improved body work in the Broner fight

I always felt Errol Spence would be a nightmare style matchup for Thurman.
