-If you'd like to change your pick before the fight starts, post in this thread to do so. Ideally tag me so that I don't miss it.
-2X doubles your points and 3X triples your points. Everyone starts with 5 doubles and 3 triples to use throughout the year. If you forget how many you have left, check the leaderboard in the master thread.

Good to have you back with us man, I was kinda hurrying through the updates from last week to get 'em done before last nights fight so I didn't have time for acknowledgements, but I had noticed you'd been out of action for a bit.

I’ve been busy with work and life in general. Had to put boxing on the back burner. Sometimes I completely forget about certain fights, but I did watch Tank Davis last night.

Ok gentlemen, not a lot of movement this week.. not a single person picked a KO for either fighter, and despite Ramirez being the bookies favourite - just - a sizable majority of us when with Hooker.
Only special mention goes to NC Uppercut who had the courage to stick a x2 (the only multiplier used this week) on his late hunch change of pick.
And bad luck to Theosis26, good to have you with us, man, and hope you'll keep playing, but by tradition I won't add you to the leaderboard til you've made your first correct pick. Better luck next time :beerchug:
B morph. Hooker. Dec. Wide.

Yea, I tend to agree about the P4P status between the 2. Although I feel like the Farmer v Davis fight is what needs to happen in order for them to be recognized more. I think that’s the exposure they really need
You ain't wrong, man, both are exciting and talented young fighters and pretty much universally ranked near the very top of their division, but they're caught in the trap of not having any names to fight at 130... even Berchelt who's more accomplished than either ain't known outside of the boxing hardcore and in terms of building their names they'd be at least as well served by fighting each other.
Fantastic fight if it gets made - lovely mesh of styles too - let's hope it gets made, then the winner to square off with Berchelt or move up (I suspect both will be moving up within the next year or two anyway).
Oh yeah... and inspired change of pick, man! :beerchug:
ShoulderRoll, Ramirez, DEC, CLOSE.
Been going back and forth on this one and don't feel certain about either guy. Robert Garcia is an elite trainer though so maybe that will give Ramirez a slight edge.

I kinda already addressed some of this in the UPCOMING AUGUST thread, but I'll put it here as well for completeness..
Gervonta and Tevin are both fine exciting fighters but neither has reached the levels of P4P regard or major popularity that would dictate their inclusion despite the magnitude of these mismatches... though your interest is noted and I'll bear that in mind when devising the polls for future UPCOMING threads.
Yuriorkis vs Rocky was actually polled in the JULY UPCOMING thread and got very little interest (although I personally thought it'd make a good pick 'em and voted for it) - only about 25%, which wasn't close to the inclusion threshold.
Dang I even missed Tevin Farmer vs. Guillaume Frenois, 12 rounds, for Farmer's IBF junior lightweight title
Did we forget about Gervonta Davis this weekend or mention Yuriorkis Gamboa vs. Roman "Rocky" Martinez, 10 rounds, lightweights ?

If you think a fight is going the distance and won't be a blow out, always back the fighter who's promoter is promoting the card.
Kid you not, it's sad that it should be a consideration, but I always got an eye on that when I'm making my picks... you got a fight as close on paper as this one you can't afford to ignore the home team advantage.
I'm a fan of Hookers but everything else being equal I'd probably be leaning ever so slightly towards Ramirez for the win. Thing is it's boxing so everything else ain't equal...
Hooker, DEC, CLOSE
