It was a great first half by Pac but by the sixth round he was eating just as much punishment as he was dishing. He was also extremely easy to hit clean as the fight progressed. I think Pac had a big lead but Thurman start chipping away as Pac tired.
In the final rounds Pac was able to launch some effective flurries but nothing close to sustaining an effective attack an entire round. I think if a sharper fighter such as Spence landed those same punches Pac may go to sleep.
I'm saying all that to say this.. Pac should consider this a good victory to retire, he beat a young undefeated fighter....I don't think Thurman has proven much in boxing lately but he's still a big name to have on the resume. Maybe Pac fights Danny or Mikey and call it a day but Thurman in my opinion should suffice. Go ahead and hang up the gloves and also quit the Senate while you at, let somebody more qualified, dedicated, availabile, and capable occupy that seat!
Stop acting like pac aint get hurt either. Them right hands put stops on Manny & Manny had to were his shades ALL THE WAY HOME, all the way home from the US to the Philippines. 🤣manny continuously fires shots. His face was way cleaner than keef’s. And keef showed pain Manny never did. So there u go.

pac didnt get hurt.. pac was on peds remember? the peds is the reason why manny was able to walk thru punches.
lol Manny wasn’t getting dropped ornhis nose busted up or doubling over wincing in pain 🤣 nice try doe

People keep saying that he tired but they missed all the body work that Keith was doing throughout the fight. I think that slowed him down tremendously, thing is that Manny always has his poker face on so it was easily missed but his body got touched up.
How bout the times Manny was gun shy when Keith was coming forward landing his punches?

Manny won the first 5-6 rounds, then took 8, 11, and 12. Clear victory for Manny, and yeah, he tired and faded relative to his younger self, but he still attacked, and threw many shots during the latter portion of the fight.
But yeah, he did look oldish in this fight.
pac was never hurt by Thurman shots. Thurman was too gun shy to sit down on his punches.

Exactly the fight I watched as well. People saying Pac looked like a 30 year old in there were watching a different fight.
I thought he was on his way to getting beat or even stopped until that body shot in the 10th got the momentum back for Pac.
He's old but has enough to look good for a handful of rounds until he starts fading
I disagree with that, he was definitely hurt and buzzed by Thurman's shots, many of them were solid and not glancing blows.
He got hit by some good shots by was never buckled like Keef was or wincing like keef after that body shot
This was the perfect way for Manny to go off into the sunset. I would retire if I was him. He had his moments, especially early on like you mentioned, but he looked super old in the second half of the fight
Yes and even better in the final championship rounds 10 -12 . That’s body shot alone with KT taking out his mouth piece so he can breath cause his nose was busted could’ve been 10 8 round and closed out the 12 round a 40 year old champ against a 30 year old champ ! First 5 , 10 , 12 plus KD do the math Fonzi !

Massive respect for Pacquiao, it was a great win against a real good young fighter, but as expected he tired in the second half of the fight, dropped rounds and was hit more often.
Manny is 40 years old and a small WW. Spence is a fighter in his prime who is a real big WW. I don't think it's a fight he should be taking at the back end of his career.
Danny/Mikey Garcia would be good/risky fights for him if he still wants to fight at a high level. I even thought the talk of Khan in Saudi Arabia was good for him if the pay was good.
I imagine Haymon/PBC want him to pass the torch over to Spence though. Especially since we never look like getting Spence/Crawford.
I thought Thurman owned that second half with his movement and countering. Manny was lucky to get that body shot late on cos that time Thurman was hurt gave him the round and the fight ultimately. Although that KD was the only separating factor for me really.
In some rounds Pac was target practice, fortunately for him Thurman didn't have enough in the tank to follow up effectively but both fighters at different points were both there to be taken. In some rounds it looked like whoever got hit clean first would go down.pac was never hurt by Thurman shots. Thurman was too gun shy to sit down on his punches.
Manny has a history of fighting the guy who loss their previous big fight.
