I have some very sad news concerning our fellow poster Ray Corso. I tried to contact him via direct email yesterday and today received the following response form his wife.
"Hello, this is Ray's wife. Ray lost the battle. He passed away in April. I know he enjoyed being on your forum. He was passionate about boxing. I miss him too. Norma"
He posted about his battle in a thread in the history section where he often enjoyed posting...

His final post to us apparently 19 days prior to his unfortunate passing....
If you think about it's kind of strange commenting on your incoming death!!!!!!
However if anyone can get a positive reaction from these post
then I believe it's a blessing.
I currently have bone cancer at my back, a hole in the T13 is the one that's putting down ( T10) is not being nice!
Be kind to one another you never know what stranger you may meet who has something to do with who you are or who you might be in a short amount of time.
That's who a fight trainer is!!MENTOR
............thank's you guy's, pretty boring right now in the game...
hope these dumb azz promoters will wake up and start promoter the action guys and don't worry about styles and techniques. Guys who fight hard and fast have technique it's just not widely recognized. have the announcers explain that.
LaMotta to Pacman are huge draws with talent. Boxing has more fans than any other sport similar to football who actually don't have a clue what the participates are jobs are trying are to figure out . Don't tell me the average football fan knows what trap blockingl or what a step over is boxing!!!!!! Patience is a virtue in Boxing but ripping off the fans is a disgrace.
Just remember "Mayweather vs Pacman" they made the fight years before it took place and if that wasn't staged nothing is!!
The Chemo & Radiation are beginning to kick my butt again but I'm still standing and
thanx again fight fans ....the fighters are the last to know when it gets dirty out side the ring unless one of them is a millionaires!
Ray
RIP Ray Corso. Sadly missed.https://i.imgrpost.com/imgr/2019/07/20/proxy.duckduckgo.com.png
Ray Corso was a good man, he had these little nuggets and anecdotes for days and his insights were always interesting especially coming from someone a lot older than us
I know i'm late and haven't been on much last 18 months but i always liked this guy and enjoyed his insight. He had a passion for the sport and was a great contributor to the site, RIP Ray Corso.
Ray, RIP Sensei... you will be sorely missed.
May God comfort your wife and family in this difficult time. I can only wish you GOD’s blessings be upon you and your family.
Shalom Brother! Shalom
As a relative newcomer....It's refreshing to see all the condolences, warm thoughts, and well wishes on this thread. I notice many "old timers" coming out of the woodwork. Cool. Hats off to all of you.
Peace. :boxing::headbang::cool2:
Yea B scene no longer saves the older messages from a certain time frame and has back limits now,to bad a lot was lost ,I think a bit of him went into me with the younger idiots challenging me on here lending out a hand and helping them with their demise if they like. I even got an entire thread if how TOUGH I I am apparently in the thinderdrome ,I remember creating one for Ray in the fantasy fights and baiting him with real odd ball matches he would go ranting about, lol
Lol. You guys kept things interesting.
Ray used to be ahead of a club in New Haven. I remember Steve Cotton was one great fighter he had at one point .
Ray Bright was a strong protege Ray C had. Ray B. won NE 147lb in '85.
Yeah. Well known in the region.
Bill
Thank you for sharing that info about Ray.
He was a huge DB as far as I'm concerned. I guess its good to know partially why. I won't miss him at all but I suppose that someone will be missing him so my condolences.

(Johnbook) Really not sure what Ray did on the pro side. I believe he was involved.
'83 New Englands we have for our team myself, Al Hunt (165lb) Mac Buckley (coach) Ray Bright (139 that year) Ray C (Coach) and the renown Marlon Starling (coach) prior to his title reins.
Mike Tyson just coming out that year. We are together on the Holyoke team.
Ray Bright was the one I was looking at as the "future big star" of the group. < Ray Corso's fighter.
