I like Gorman because of his heritage and I like Ricky Hatton, but Dubois has been looking prepared for war in the eyes. Like Anne Wolfe has been training him on the slick or some . Has Dubois always been icy like Liston, or is it something new? Good way to be, give him that. We ain’t shootin marbles, like Rockin’ say. He reminds me of Mike Tyson in his demeanor in a small way when he was under Cus. You cannot fake that look - that look of the him denying himself of many luxuries. Gorman is so damn young, he’s got such a long time to improve and get better. It’s gonna be some **** if he gets in there and makes it a war not sure of how else to do it vs Dubois who works behind a solid jab and cross. Dubois doesn’t move his head much but he does use angles, that’s why many are picking him. Gorman will only be able to truly rally When he not only has respect but when Dubois doesn’t have room to pick another angle, which means he’ll only be able to ko dd in a corner . He said it himself in an interview recently. “This is my hardest fight” but before he said that, he said he sparred 300 or so rounds with DD and never thinks he lost one of them. DD wouldn’t be so confident if Gorman schooled him all the time - he’s confident . Credit to the matchmaker, this is a good match to keep the public interested in Boxing
Gorman is the more polished fighter imo
But will need to whether the early storm
If he can hold off Dubois for the first five rounds I think he clearly wins a decision
That being , I don’t believe he has enough power to ko Dubois
Joyce gets brutalized by anyone in the top 10.
I could see how he could lots of them problems. He’s relentless and doesn’t stop throwing all night.
He’s too slow to land anything on Fury and i think Wilder would would beat him too, his power and ability to find big shots would probably finally get to Joyce.
Apart from them, if he could get the likes of AJ and Whyte past 6 rounds, he could wear them down with his relentless approach and their poor stamina.
i look forward to this fight! glad its not ppv even though it could be.
not sure whos going to win, i wouldnt bet on it. i hope for a ko in the late rounds to make it spectacular.
if i had to bet id go with DD.
Joyce will get exposed bc of hand speed ? :omfg:
You do know someone usually is exposed already if they lack chin and have a few losses by stoppage right ? lol
If Jennings managed to cause the upset it would be bigger then the AJ one bc Jennings is no Ruiz and I would find it hilarious just seeing Joyce not being able to anything here against a guy that wont be able to hurt him.
Jennings is a good fighter but exposing Joyce bc of hand speed vs showing Jennings chin to be able to take his shots just throws exposed out the window bc only one guy here has folded so far.

This is a very tough fight to pick, I could see dubois right hand ending the fight at any moment, or I could see Gorman outboxing dubois to a decision.
I SLIGHTLY favor Gorman, because I believe he has the edge in just about every area except power. If the rumors about sparring are true, that's also an advantage. Dubois didn't look good in his last fight, even got momentarily rocked by a stationary target(I don't believe Gorman will just sit on the ropes waiting to be hit.
I see the first couple rounds being explosive, with dubois getting the better of the action. Then I expect Gorman to outbox him gaining a sizeable lead on the scorecards. Then dubois, knowing he's behind, goes all out in the last two rounds, maybe even dropping Gorman. In the end Gorman's superior boxing skills lead him to a 115-112 win in a great heavyweight fight.
Terrific undercard as well, I hope Jennings exposes Joyce for the extreme lack of handspeed he has.
I see Gorman winning around 8-4 in the eyes of most viewers, but I see it being controversially scored either a draw or a split decision win for Dubois.
I don’t think either of them will lose so drastically, I agree with that one. We won’t see a complete shut out, which means an exchange of talent.(and good learning for both parties) Pumped for the match, I don’t think it will be an early ko. I bet we see some late round action
Yeah I expect it to be quite cagey early on. I feel Dubois has to be effective early though, the longer the fight goes the more it favours Gorman IMO. I’m pumped myself mate, it’s the most interesting fight in Britain this year IMO.
Both guys are babies for the HW division, a loss at this stage won’t hurt either of them as long as they learn and progress from it. It’s refreshing to see two young prospects risking their undefeated records at this stage of their career.

So it’s confirmed about the amateur stuff. Thanks for the intel, probably not betting on this one. It’s scary how young that dude is, heh. He’s gonna be a beast when he’s 30!
FWIW, DD backed off first on staredown. Saw something he didn’t like and backed off, looked away
No problem bro. It has minor similarities to the DeGale-Groves build up IMO. In the sense that Gorman and his team just seem so confident they have Dubois’ number.

I think Gorman does almost everything better, apart from power, but that’s only going on the eye test against weak opposition for the most part, so it might not mean much.
Gorman and Hatton seem to have been wanting the fight for a while, like they know something.
I’ll go with Gorman but I wouldn’t be confident enough to put money on that.
I’m quietly confident Gorman outboxes him to a UD or late stoppage.
It’s mainly based off here say and gut instinct though, people who I trust have told me Gorman used to regularly get the better of Dubois in sparring. There’s obviously bias involved and these spars where years ago when they were far younger and inexperienced.
From a technical perspective, Gorman is far more skilled IMO, Dubois is very athletically gifted though so it’ll be interesting to see how much he can impose himself early on, it’s a great clash of styles and a really interesting flight, I’m really looking forward to it.

Nathan Gorman the much, much, much better boxer. Daniel Dubois looks great when unloading big shots on stationary opponents who turn up to collect a paycheck. On paper this is actually a mismatch, the only question being, does Gorman have the power to get Dubois out of there early? Really is like the Poundland version of Fury-Wilder.
