Another stu.pid hater. Canelo beat the best two guys in his división . And we don't know if would be a catchweight fight or not And canelo accepted the catchweight in Floyd fight... Actually, I like Canelo. That doesn't mean I agree with all of his decisions though. What's the point of the fight? Winning a belt at a catch weight is BS and shouldn't be allowed. If the fight is purely for the challenge, then why the CW? He should fight Kov at his natural weight if he wants true bragging rights. Canelo has real (and profitable) challenges at 160lb and 168lbs, why risk getting injured in an unnecessary fight? Last but not least, many still refuse to give Mayweather full credit for beating Canelo at CW and I understand why....

kovalev is 36 and while still good, he's not the same. perfect cherry pick and drained? even better. you wont see him going after gvodzk or bivol but its because kovalev is such a huge star :haha:

So Canelo a natural mw moving up to 172 to fight Kovalev the champion is frowned upon? But ggg not moving up any weight, up or down, is used as a sign of how great ggg is. Canelo fighting at 172 without any warm-ups or at least a year for his body to adjust would be a dare to be great moment. I don't think it happens but if it did, Kovalev won't turn down a Canelo payday and Canelo would need to gain and adjust to 172 from 160. Be honest because Canelo is a smaller 160.

Kovalev has been in just as many wars, and especially versus fighters who fight dirty, Ward x2. Kovalev's problem is that he did not need to use his skills and boxing IQ, which he surely has, because most of the time he was able to get it done with his power. BUT... the boy can box when he needs to.

Despite the avenging L last time out I think Kov is washed so this seems like a 4th title grab more than a legit fight. Not hyped for this one if it gets made, but I get it. A 4th title is huge even if its vs a washed guy at a catchweight. Kovalev looked great vs Álvarez in rematch and is top-3, of his division Its a great fight
