He is fighting on Benn undercard on DAZN. The kid if he has it inside should be a future star. This will be his 2nd fight also check out Chris Colbert on Sun Charlo card he has now seemed to get his man strength and is talented as they come.
Yea I agree.I did look at his box-rec page seems like he is a 26pder so he should be safe I knew it would have to be a very weak opponent otherwise its crazy.
Yeah it looks like a knock-over job.
They should have just put him on the Ruiz-AJ or GGG-Rolls undercard is they wanted to keep him busy.

Yea it was on DAZN right before main I think.Yea his 2nd fight last week made no sense to me either esp if they were thinking about putting him on this week.I see the guy he is fighting is a 26pder so he should be safe.

Interesting, I only seen a clip so I can’t exactly make a value judgement. I’ll try and watch him properly this weekend. I dunno why they brought him over here just to be a float, was his fight even televised? I didn’t see it on Sky over here.

Lol
Yea they picked a very tough opponent for his debut the kid was 5-1 and had not fought in close to 2years, but he was really pretty good I think he was a 3 time AM champ in his country(E European). Also Otha thought it was a 4rd fight and found out at end of 4 it was a 6 I thought that showed some mental toughness for a 19yr old making his pro debut.

Yeah, against this guy http://boxrec.com/en/boxer/716939 At least this one has a winning record, recognisable name in there aswell
He has been fighting at 126 though, but I don't blame them that's 2 fights in 6 days in 2 continents.
Yeah he was pretty underwhelming Sunday night. I think he just felt Mercado didn’t pose a threat to him so treated it a little like a sparring session.
I’ve not watched much of Otha, seen a clip from his debut, that’s about it.

Is he fighting again this week?
Yea on the DAZN card im sure it will be a very weak opponent otherwise its a dumb move with him just fighting on another continent.

Yea i agree and have no idea why he fought righty in last one.He was getting hit a little by jab and if he had turned back to southpaw he would put some space between that jab. Also his talking to crowd between rds kinda bugged me, but the kid is very talented and hopefully he will continue to mature, we need all the stars we can get.Otha will be fightin again this week not sure that's a good idea with the jet lag, but im sure it will be a pretty weak opponent with him fighting twice in 7 days on 2 continents.

He’d have been 18-19 it covers his journey from signing his first professional contract through his first few fights. It also follows Cam Awesome trying to qualify for the 2016 Olympics and Peter Quillin’s journey back from his layoff which culminates in the Danny Jacobs fight. It’s a good watch tbf, I liked how it covered different levels and layers of the sport. I hope they make a second one.
And yeah Colbert definitely has potential. I’ve followed his career for a while and his performance against Briones was by far his best. I mean Briones is a little washed but Colbert showed good punch variety and as you say started to show some pop. I think his best shot is his jab, it’s very sharp and snappy. From that southpaw stance it can be a real weapon.

Will need to check out that doc, how old was he then?1st time I seen him was not sure he had the pop and the fire to get respect at top level but he has seemed to mature physically since then. Maybe he needs to mature phyc also, but the kid has the tools to become VERY good if he has the intangibles.
