Tyson Fury eased to victory on the occasion of his first fight in Las Vegas as he furthered his reputation as the world's finest heavyweight by stopping Germany's Tom Schwarz in the second round. Fulfilling a lifelong ambition of finally fighting in the Sin City, at the revered MGM Grand, he showed a destructive edge he has rarely previously demonstrated to justify the significant interest he has generated in the US since his fight with Deontay Wilder. Errr, i certainly didnt use the word star and no im not saying the rest of it either. Fury is way bigger than Wilder. Wilder is 34 years old and has had 42 fights. When is it going to sink in that Wilder is not going to become the new Floyd. When is it going to sink in that no matter how wonderful he may seem to me and you the American public are not half as sold on him.
Dont forget the only time he did a PPV was against Tyson Fury. That was because of Tyson Fury. If that was down to Wilder why did the Breazeale fight not go on to PPV? Or the fight before the Fury fight, that wasnt PPV either. Then again when we saw the numbers on that one its a good job, it bombed big time.
Fury couldn't even get 50% of his arena full this weekend and HE was the reason it was ppv? Lmao every brit that knows Fury knows Wilder, it isn't the same for fury in the states tho
So what you're saying is Wilder is a bigger star than him. Gotcha

|HAHAHA congratulations Deontay Wilder. You outsold a none American in America. Just.

Ruiz can fight Wilder next, no problem. However it will only be for 1 belt, Wilders, as Ruiz signed a contract which included a rematch clause. Give Joshua his belts back and then go fight Wilder. Jsohua fans wont want that they want Joshua to try avenge his loss. But you should Tweet Ruiz tell him to give up all his belts without a fight cuz thats what you want.
We both know that I meant after the AJ rematch considering Wilder is already signed to fight Ortiz next. After their fights, Fury is irrelevant, so Ruiz and Wilder should square up. That "star" Fury can continue to do whatever it is he's doing
Since nothing is signed like Arum says, then Wilder needs to go straight to Ruiz, and then, if warranted, rematch Ruiz after their undisputed fight. Fury brings nothing but an unnecessary Arum at this point.

He just outsold Fury. Wilder is a much bigger name than Fury that's why the whole ESPN promo was about Wilder Knocking Fury across the ring.
But if Wilder is such a no name, then Fury can keep fighting his level of competition while the two champions, both PBC affiliated, fight one another.

I agree 99% ....except for Ortiz, I think Wilder might have his number.Ortiz has more power than Fury, and he's southpaw! His age is a problem after 7! However, anything can happen in 7 rounds!
50% of what though? Maybe arum can promote this next one better cuz wilder numbers are guaranteeing fury 50% of not very much. When are wilder fans going to accept he ain't no star in the eyes of American sports fans? Look at the numbers. Haymon is taking losses on wilder fights.

So many fans have bought into Fury's narrative that he was "unfit" in the first fight, and he'll magically become a Superman in the rematch.
The fact is, Fury hasn't lost any weight since the Wilder fight; in fact, he actually gained 7 lbs. for the Schwarz fight. From what I see, he hasn't improved at all. He's not challenging himself or learning anything new. Bob Arum's handpicked opponents are making him lazy.
Meanwhile, Wilder has been killing himself in the gym. In a few short months he's facing King Kong Ortiz, a veteran with 343 amateur wins, a crafty Cuban southpaw that was on the verge of knocking him out. Wilder's trainers are working overtime to help Deontay develop and maximize his skillset. He can't afford to make any mistakes, and the Joshua vs. Ruiz fight was a major wake up call to everyone. What we're going to see in September is The Bronze Bomber at his best; a deadly sniper with ninja-like movement and razor sharp accuracy.

In all honesty, I expect Wilder to fight off the back foot and circle the ring more against Tyson Fury in the rematch; Which is something that he didn't do in their first fight.
He was the one who was constantly stalking and hunting Fury down. That's why Wilder was so easy for Tyson to evade because he knew and can easily see Wilder loading up on those right hands.
He needs to force Tyson to fight off the front foot more in order to let his guards down so he can catch him. The mistake Wilder made in their first bout was that he was in a pure slugger's mode.
All he was looking for was the home run knockout punch; Which made the "Gypsy King's" job that much easier. This time around The Bronze Bomber will attempt to win some rounds also before knocking Fury out.
This is why black fighters typically always end up leaving Top Rank/Arum.
He always ends up pushing white guys or other hispanics over his black fighters, and he's done that continuously for a long time. Look at how he treats Lomachenko and Fury compared to Crawford, who is his best fighter.
I wouldn't be surprised if he says something racist and Crawford ends up leaving him. This dude hardly ever talks up Crawford, it's like he views him as a Burden.
I don't know about that, the way he has pushed the spence thing has been massive. Almost making him look like he's ducking bud.
Over the last 18 months it seems Arum has changed from what am hearing from him. He seems more incline to work with others, we would see if his words can be trusted *doe*.
Fury just fought to i expect him to talk him up more than Bud at the moment. I know Arum has promoter Latino fighters in the past but just look at Andy Ruiz who is of latino origin.
Arum did not make Mayweather-Pac happen, Floyd did. Arum know for delay & ducking. Fury now Duck Wilder, Crawford ducking Spence til he leaves 147, Loma ducking Mikey until Spence laid blueprint

Wilder has always said he would rematch Ortiz who is the best HW tactician. He is rematching Ortiz next in part because Fury ran away from the rematch.
