President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (aka AMLO) recognizes his "tocayo" Andy Ruiz with a commemorative bill for winning the HW Championship of the world as a representative of Mexico (even though he's Californian).
Supposedly, Andy Ruiz wouldn't do the walk-out unless the promoters agreed to play the Mexican National Anthem.

It's funny how Negros/Blacks with no ethnicity besides being "African-American" keep saying Ruiz ain't Mexican.
What's so funny about the truth?
The truth is that Andy Ruiz Jr, just like me, was born in California, U.S.A. and happens to have Mexican parents.
The truth is the truth. Mexicans themselves make it really clear that us "Mexican-Americans" are not them. Sí o no? It's actually surprising that Mexico (the media, the people, the president) seems to actually be co-signing Andy Ruiz Jr's claim. And I kinda like it... I don't fully believe it, but I like that Mexico is changing it's ways (if it's genuine).
From my perspective, I gotta admit, this kind of seems like Mexico is bandwagon'ing AFTER the fact, tbh.

I think they assumed his liaison who was showing Andy around was his interpreter. Lol

Mexican Americans like education, so they go to night school, and take Spanish, and get a B!

Not sure why he needed an interpreter. He speaks fluent Spanish. I speak fluent Spanish and can confirm his fluency.
He's done a shiiit ton of interviews in Spanish as well.
Maybe the 'interpreter' was just his liaison.
