Hopkins was barged to the canvas by Dawson and, although an illegal move, it wasn't anywhere near as damaging as the game-changing and unquestionably illegal low blow that Khan received from Crawford.
The first Hopkins vs Dawson fight was at first declared a TKO by the incompetent referee but the California State Athletic Commission changed it to a No Contest.
Khan vs Crawford, where arguably a much more damaging illegal shot was landed, was declared a TKO by the incompetent ref and the New York State Athletic Commission did not take the necessary action to correct the decision by changing it to a No Contest.
How do you explain the double standard?

- -Easy pickings.
You Dumb and getting Dumberst.
Sissy Popcorns jumped in with an ill timed flying knee to the groin. Failing that he grabbed hold of Dawson who never laid a hand on Popcorns. Chad shucked him of with body movement where upon Popcorns took flight into the ropes where he started squalling for the ref who ruled tko.
Oscar runs the Cali commish got his buddy off with an NC.
Popcorns tried the same thing against Joe Smith, but after a half dozen squalling career episodes, it became too embarrassing for the commish who let the KO stand.
You gotta thing for squalling sissies?
If a fighter can't continue because of an intentional foul it's a DQ.
That's true, but referees never consider the first low blow of a fight as an intentional foul. In this case Tony Weeks rightly ruled it as accidental.
They both quit and Hopkins was the one who initiated that roughhousing shit with Dawson. The CSAC should have never overturned their original verdict of TKO for Bad Chad. Hopkins came in out of shape and wanted out and tapped out. He could have continued. The fake Mutha!
Didn't the ref give Crawford a warning, classing it as an intentional foul. Khan would have won by DQ if he didn't wave it off himself.
No at all. No DQ or TD. Khan would have lost by TKO.

He f@cking quit big difference.
It would've went to the cards if Khan's corner didnt stop it and Crawford would've won. Hopkins-Dawson was in round 2. Fight is official after 4.
:lol1: pretty much ended the thread on the first post
Khan didn't win a single round and was on his way to getting stopped. He was hit in the leg and given 5 minutes to recover but he quit in two minutes. All the fight was beaten out of him and he just gave up to a much better man. Nice try though.
Khan was going to lose anyway, but yes, it is strange with that wasn't a no contest. If Khan had taken the 5-minute break and still said he hasn't recovered to continue, maybe things would be different.

Khan's corner stopped the fight, not the ref.
Khan was getting beat up pretty good so they saw the low blow as an opportunity to step in and stop the fight.
