He has once again stayed nice and safe in the background and let other fighters overtake him. He allowed Joshua to go collect the belts one at a time when there was no reason at all why he couldnt of done that.
Now he has refused to face Anthony Joshua and allowed another fighter to come in, knock him out and take the belts that Wilder claimed he wanted.
I would love for somebody to please explain to me how Wilders gamble on himself has played out to his advantage here? Cuz to me it just looks like his career is continuing to be really slow and is allowing other fighters to jump ahead and do the things he claims he is going to do but never actually attempt to do them.
Yes i know Anthony Josha lost and im all BOO HOO and all that about it but all the reasons why Wilder was a massive chicken ducker last week are still the same reasons why Wilder is a massive chicken ducker this week. Nothing has changed, Joshua lost but to somebody else. This gamble dont make no sense to me, at all.
This gamble looks like a duck, i need to know why it isnt.
Lol he is a bonafide dumbass. Ducked wlad and ducked joshua many times and let ruiz get the win over joshua ruining a mega fight.
So now it's Wilder's fault for "letting" Ruiz beat Joshua, thereby ruining a megafight?
You Wilder haters are funny. No, it's not Deontay's fault that Ruiz beat AJ up. Deontay didn't "let" Ruiz get the win. Even under the DAZN offer, both AJ and Deontay would have taken at least one tune-up fight, and possibly more, before facing each other - so the Wilder-Joshua fight wouldn't have happened this soon anyway.
There are only three things to blame for AJ getting TKO'ed by Ruiz: Ruiz's right hand, Ruiz's left hand, and Joshua's chin.
Write the truth Floyd offed 50 million while he keeps the rest as you can see Pacquio made 200 million rather the 50 million that was tossed to him
Dude GTFOH. Manny and AJ getting KTFO are on them just like Tyson getting KTFO by BUster before the Holyfield mega fight was on him. Meanwhile, guys like Hearns, Floyd, Tito and Canelo, among others, didn't lose during the "build" to their massive fights with Leonard, ODH and Floyd.
Don't blame Manny and AJ's failure on other fighters. That is extremely weak.
:cool2: Don't remember me but you "positive" I got embarrassed? Yea, sure thing buddy. Keep taking them L's....LOL
Yea, you're another troll that gets handled.
What?.. Buddy I don't even remember you and I'm POSITIVE you got embarrassed...

This is such BS. Just like there was a plan in place for Floyd and Manny to fight, there was one for AJ and Wilder. The fight was being set up through a series of wins by each guy. AJ and Manny however didn't get the job done so their idiot fanbases have to blame their failures on something and try to weaken the other guys who didn't fail during the build up.
Wr
Fact is Floyd kept winning. Manny turned down a career high payday, fought JMM again, made a critical mistake when pressing for the KO, and got KTFO. Wilder beat his bum in stellar fashion. AJ failed to do so and got KTFO. This is the fault of Manny and AJ and NO ONE ELSE.
We can agree marinating fights too long is an issue. That said, the real problem is when over rated hype jobs don't keep up their end of the deal while a fight is being built.
Look at Leonard and Hearns, both kept winning. On the flip side, Tyson ****ed up and lost to Buster.

"you’re six-foot-six, you’re ripped, carved in stone, and a little fat man who has eaten every Snickers and Mars bar in California comes in there and bladders you all over? What a disgrace
If that was me, I would never show my face in public ever again."

truth...................
You aren't keeping up with the news. He already has connected with the same fan base that made Canelo a star.
He has connected with them his whole life and he ever drew them. Obviously this is good for him and will raise his profile but can we at least see him sell some tickets as the HWT champ before we make a determination.
I think that is a reasonable thing to do.
Well going off recent performances, Wilder should be forgetting Fury and chasing the unification fight after Ortizn't 2..
Fighting a fit Fury will be the biggest gamble of Wilders career. One he should avoid like the plague.
Ridiculous dude. Stop over inflating AJ with regards to American fans. He is a non entity over here. Ruiz beating him again only confirms what many thought about AJ-he is a big british hype job.
If the rematch ends up in the US and the arena is filled with British fans and very few Mexicans (not likely but a possibility) that would confirm Ruiz still can't connect with the big fanbase.
Lets just stop this because there is no way of knowing until Ruiz slaps AJ around again.

Not upset about anything and I don’t have any problems with Americans in general either. Most of my preferred fighters are American. My problem lies only with the Wilder fans that were openly supporting Wilder delaying the fight but now that Joshua lost they act like it was Hearn and AJ telling us late 2020.
Speaking truth is not being upset, neither is not being blind to Wilder’s nonsense.
Your blind to hearns nonsense.
There was nothing ridiculous about what we were saying there. If Ruiz beats AJ again and Wilder doesn't beat Fury, then Ruiz will be the bigger name of the 2 and Wilder and his fanboys will attribute that to racism.

No one supported Haymon blocking the fight. We all know the business reasons why he did, same as we know the business reasons Hearn blocked it initially. It doesn't make sense to pretend its "ducking" when we know what it really is.
wilder was saying what he has been told to say by Haymon. I think we all get that or should get it. This was all part of the build. AJ losing will not be cited as the reason for the delay by anyone rational and credible.
His loss was an unexpected bump in the road that most of us think he will correct. My only concern is Ruiz didn't win by a lucky punch like say Rahman. He outboxed AJ so AJ IMO needs to really improve his jab, stamina and defense if he expects to win the rematch.
You are credible in your reasoning but truthfully you are in the minority of that fan base assuming you are even a fan of Wilder.
Don’t know how the rematch will play out cause as you pointed out nothing was lucky or flukey about what Ruiz did. AJ needs serious adjustments most namely improving his jab, needs to throw it more. Stamina has to be a big improvement too not because it’s as bad people make out but Ruiz works the body and he has to account for that.
I never saw AJ as this unbeatable guy, He’s always been clearly vulnerable in my eyes but I honestly thought it would take someone better than Ruiz to expose him. No disrespect to Ruiz, he’s quality.
AJ didn't look right to me, I think he focused too much on trying to woo the US fans and media in his role as DAZN/Matchroom poster boy, and not enough on Ruiz. I also felt a little uneasy when I heard him talking about needing to counter Wilder's highlight reel KO of Breazeale with something equally spectacular of his own, because Ruiz is the wrong opponent to go out looking for a KO against.
But it could be Andy just has AJ's number. Styles make fights, and sometimes one guy's style and physical attributes are Kryptonite to another's. Foreman/Frazier and Fury/Wlad spring to mind.
Dude stop it. You are just as much a nationalist as I or anyone. You want to see AJ beat wilder as much as I want to see wilder beat AJ, even though neither of us may be a big fan of either guy.
This exchange between you 2 was just ridiculous IMO especially because whether I agree or disagree I think you both are good posters.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinions, likes and dislikes.
To my understanding, money is not the whole thing for Deontay Wilders. Being treated as equal is more important to him. Thus, he wouldn't mind if the total purse bid came down to $80m and the deal is 50-50 rather than the amount being $100m but his share is only 45% even though he makes $5m more.
Wilder is not known to live a lavish lifestyle, own a jet, go out with a large entourage like Mayweather, etc. His needs are modest for a HW champ and the money he has is enough to secure a good future.
No lavish lifestyle? The man walks around with a golden ****ing Bazooka for christ sake.
