If AJ did really have a panic attack before the Ruiz fight what makes you think hes mentally strong enough to go up against someone like Wilder or Fury?
The stage would be much bigger and he would be fighting someone who would knock him the **** out in Wilder and someone in Fury he wouldnt be able to hit or outbox all night?
AJ looked like a complete amateur and I'm not so sure how he handles those situations. Hes also not slimming down which he rightfully should because his stamina is absolutely garbage.
What do you think? How does he come back? If he loses to Ruiz again I'm pretty sure hes done.
If AJ had a panic attack, and that is something i believe could well of happened i very much doubt it was purely the fact he was facing Ruiz that caused this thing it would of been the whole bigger picture. I live with somebody who had a serious problem with panic attacks and they are no weakling mentally or physically. It was a real shock to find out when i heard about their problems. Its not even close to being about him being scared to fight Andy Ruiz it will be a huge build up of stresses and pressures and since he was being marketed as the biggest thing in the sport with a ton of expectation on him inside and outside the ring, which includes debuting in the States, big night, big pressure. When you have an attack it stops you in your tracks, it certainly would expect somebody to struggle to give a Boxing match anywhere near 100%.
But at the same time, if you are prepared to step through the ropes you are under the understanding that you leave your excuses on the outside of the ropes. What ever happened has happened, if there even was anything and Andy Ruiz is now the champ and its up to Joshua to sort out his **** and get himself back mentally.
Well that's just the thing. If it was the pressure that got to him then right now hes a broken man. If he cant handle the pressures of being on top how will he get back? Wilder and Fury are both gonna talk a lot of **** and they're gonna get into his head.
Imo, Wilder has a better chance of getting knocked out by ortiz than AJ by Ruiz so its gonna be pretty hilarious if he does. AJ will never outbox or last against Fury. Where does he go next? Imagine losing to Ruiz again.
imo aj looked great in this fight, too bad things didn't go his way. but hey thats boxing for ya. aj looked good till he got caught and was seriously hurt. i don't think he truly recovered from those two kds from rd 3. anyone in the heavyweight division that took those same shots like aj did would been in the same position too. thats what makes ruiz a special fighter his explosiveness but he has a lot of heart also. aj should of been more cautious and picked better shots from distance.
Imo, I dont think he looked good at all but again I never though he looked good. He was okay. I'm not sure what the game plans because I had no idea what he was trying to do. You canf fight on the outside with a jab as lazy as the ones he was throwing.
Plus. Idk if the rumors are true or not but dude looked way out of it. I dont think he ever had great boxing IQ but he looked like a complete scrub out there instead of an elite heavy weight. I think Ruiz has enough punch, but in terms of power they're just respectable and AJ was acting like Wilder was throwing shots at him.
Itll be interesting to see if people copy Ruiz's blue print and to see how AJ responds. In all seriousness, dude needs to slim down because he was GASPING for air a majority of the fight. I dont even know how any of his handlers dont address this glaring issue.

If his mental game has gone which I think it has I don't think he will ever get back to being a serious threat to anyone.
Let alone Wilder or Fury.
AJ is done like a cooked crab.
