Joshua played to Ruiz strengths by trading on the inside too much, underestimated Ruiz and got way over confident after that first KD, Ruiz wasn't hurt that much from that KD but Joshua just stormed in like Ruiz was done.
Joshua never recovered from getting clipped just above the ear, those punches mess up your equilibrium, and yes his stamina also let him down, but he can win the rematch, just has to be super disciplined and fight with logic.
He is not talking about those bum ass sanctioning body rankings, that rank obscure names that no one cares about in their top 10.
Speaking of planets, in the boxing world, when fans talk about the top 10, 9 out of 10 times they're talking about The Ring, TBRB, Boxingscene top 10, ESPN, etc, not the WBO, IBF, WBC, WBA which have differing ranks from the actual consensus top 10 of the boxing world.
:lol1:
I feel your frustration and I know exactly how that feels. These posters be acting ******ed like that from time to time, acting (I hope it's an act) like they don't know what I mean when I say top 10. They hit me with that "But Birzarski Tapatasky was ranked #7 by the IBF doe, and Limifinifim Fripitrivisail was ranked #9 by the WBA."
It's a new phenomenon I'm sure. When talking about rankings no one would ever even consider citing a ABC sanctioning organisation ranking until recently.
Bare in mind, Mark De Mori was ranked #10 with the WBA when David Haye fought him. Top 10 ranked guy then :dunce:
Look at all those shitty mandatories that Kell Brook had, Jo jo Dan and Kevin Bizier, those guys were mandatories I.e #1!! With the IBF. Klitschko had mandatories such as Lepai, Mormeck, Wach etc. #1 ranked with an organisation.
The list goes on and on we could literally be here all night. Didn't the WBA have a Heavyweight that was dead or retired in their Top 5? I'm sure they did. This was around the same time that SHANNON BRIGGS and FRES OQUNEDO were set to fight for their vacant world title.
We've come to a stage now where we have fucking ******s on here citing them :lol1:
I mean, look at those two brain dead idiots you just quoted me responding to for crying out loud.
AJ drops the right when jabbing. Ruiz countered over it all night.
Good God you Brits DKSAB. WTF fight was this poster watching?
AJ fundamentals are horrid. Thats why he lost the fight.
Ruiz didnt land a lucky punch. He kicked AJs azz all over that ring.
What boxing planet have you been living at these last years?
Ruiz fought Parker for the vacant WBO belt in late 2016, which means he must have been top ranked by the WBO at the time. Many thought Ruiz should have won that fight, but Parker got a close decision at home. Had he won it he would have fought Joshua much earlier, instead of Parker.
Following his loss he was inactive for so long he disappeared from the rankings.
Before last night he was ranked as #5 by the WBA, #15 by the IBF and #11 by the WBO, following his late april win. Thus, he was ranked in the top 15 by all the three major sanctioning bodies that let him fight for their belt.
Please, do your home work.

Not remotely interested in Sanctioning Bodies pathetic rankings.
Ruiz was not ranked in the Top 10 in any overall ranking system such as The Ring, ESPN, TBRB etc. That's a FACT.
Not ranked in the Top 10 and a 40-1 underdog.
So shut the fuck up.
Yes dummy by the orgs. Did I mention anything about the orgs you dumb cunt?
He was not ranked in the Top 10 in any overall rankings.

ruiz is a top ten fighter I always thought he was I thought he beat parker in nz. Who cares what those rankings say they are corrupt anyways
Fought Parker years ago.
He wasn't Top 10 when he fought AJ. That's just a fact.
Whether he ahould have been or not is a different story.
Found one. Bad Left Hook Boxing Ranking, if that site means anything to you, had him as #10 week prior to the title match.
https://www.badlefthook.com/2019/6/4/18649505/bad-left-hook-boxing-rankings-june-4-2019-andy-ruiz-jr-now-no-1-heavyweight
IBO, which calculates rankings based on a mathematical algorithm had him at #11, so pretty close to the top 10 below the champ (i.e. #12 as an independent ranking).
He was #14 in boxrec.
Premierboxing, which is based on a 'who beat who' ranking system, had him as #19, and with a 2-1 score against top 50 heavyweights (i.e. beating two and losing to one boxer they had ranked in their top 50 when they fought), which is not much to brag about. At #19 he was ranked next to fighters like Robert Helenius and Joe Joyce, who are fringe contenders (good European level).
https://premierboxingorganisation.com/heavyweight-200
While not in the top 10, one could claim that Ruiz was in the second category of fringe contenders, perhaps somewhere in the top 15, and certainly within the top 20.
Never heard of Bad Left Hook boxing.
I never disputed he was a Top 15 guy.
This fight, without a doubt, has to be rated in the top 10 most embarrassing heavyweight title fights of all time. In all my years of boxing, I've never seen such a physically superior athlete huffing and puffing, getting ragdolled by a fat man. Many years from now people will still be watching this fight and laughing. AJ will be remembered forever, but for all the wrong reasons.
Facts...
Just esthetics of it will forever ruin his image and reputation unfortunately
How so? Joshua has beaten more top 10 fighters than any other current HW. He fully deserved the #1 spot.
I'm just giving you a hard time. He did deserve the #1 ranking, even if it was debatable who was the best. He had the belts
How many seconds AJ got between the 2nd KD in 7th and the ref waving off the fight? And that was during the fight not between rounds
And AJ still quit despite all of ref efforts

In 12 rounds Ruiz will find a way to get inside.
There will be exchanges between them.
Ruiz took a MONSTER right hand from Joshua right after they started exchanging as Ruiz got up off the canvas. This tells me Ruiz won't fear Joshua's power and will be getting inside.
Joshua jabbing all night and moving around Lara vs Canelo style isn't going to happen. He's not Lara, too much muscle and will begin to slow down.
Oh really? Where was Joshua's 30s break at the start of round 4? Wilder got one in the Ortiz fight and you clowns said New York do it all the time. So why didn't Joshua get it?

Why would he? He knew he had corrupt judges on his side.
Matchroom had corrupt judges on hand for Kelly and Taylor not to mention a ref who gave him all day to recover
yet AJ still quit
Why would he? He knew he had corrupt judges on his side.
Like AJ had to worry about judges in the Ruiz fight? Those cards were way too close. Not to mention already has a huge lead in a rematch in the UK where if he is smart he boxes a boring (parker-like) fight to a UD and gets his belts back.
So after a quiet few rounds AJ drops Ruiz then goes in to finish, Ruiz keeps calm under fire and rocks his world with a left hook. How does a panic attack or getting dropped in sparring cause this? People are talking absolute nonsense. AJ then struggles to recover and Ruiz is reading his attacks like a book and making him pay via combinations. AJ was absolutely fine before that counter hook in round 3, actually that assault that AJ landed on Ruiz in round 3 was sharp as hell. No panic attacks, no conspiracies and no excuses. AJ has flaws and Ruiz exploited them on Saturday.
You watched Wilder get schooled for 10 of 12 rounds and still believe he's in the discussion for best HW. Any fighter can get hurt. When you get outboxed like Wilder did it proves without a doubt that he's inferior.
Wilder didn't quit after getting schooled for 8 rounds doe...
He wasn't looking for a way out tbf

Still buying into the hype job bro?
You still impressed by him going to war with Takam and getting chin checked by ancient Povetkin
Always coming out with the funniest shit when a fighter you like loses.
He got battered and quit against a guy not ranked in the Top 10.
End of story. ruiz is a top ten fighter I always thought he was I thought he beat parker in nz. Who cares what those rankings say they are corrupt anyways
