Of course he could, HW boxing is nothing to be sniffed at. Fury has deceptive power. If you watch that Wilder fight again, he really stunned Wilder with those right hands, he just wasn’t following up on them because Wilder has a great chin. Fury is also not the sort of boxer that takes chances like that even when he has you stunned.
Fury stops Aj. TKO/Ko doesn't make a difference. Aj has a very weak chin, almost as weak as Fury's chin. Aj unfortunately has nothing special about him though. He's just a robotic textbook fighter. No special punch/technique ala Wilder's right hand or Mayweather's shoulder roll...no fancy footwork ala Loma or Fury. Aj is just there. Aj has zero ring iq as well which will be his biggest fault in the ring with fury. Aj also gasses which will be his second biggest fault.
Fury would likely stop Aj round 9 after aj has been thoroughly beaten and gassed.
The fight can still happen given Aj don't retire after Ruiz baby shakes him again.
Chin-wise Wilder has the best by a landslide out of those three: it isn't close. Dropped when? By who? Exactly what I thought.
Fury would put on a clinic with his accuracy, timing, and skills.
Landing 50% of his power punches would do a lot of cumulative damage.
Bloody nosed AJ is clinching and struggling to breathe when the ref waves it off.
I just watched Yarde get taken out by a jab. An exhausted Joshua could go the very same way.
If the question is, could Fury catch Joshua out of the blue with a big punch and end it?...probably not.
Is this a possibility if not likelihood in a potential match-up?
Fury stops AJ early.
Would jump on him from round 1 and overwhelm him. Fury is too fast, AJ wouldn't be able to stop any of his jabs and straight rights and Fury would drop him with a body shot because AJ has low IQ and would try to keep his hands up because Fury will be teeing off on him constantly. I could honestly see the refs waving it off.
He almost got Wilder out of there and I am sure he will in the rematch.
A 40% Fury that was....
Tyson Fury maybe stunned Deontay Wilder but that is about it 'He never seriously hurt him at any stage in that fight'.
Fury does have sting power, if he was completely void of power 'There would of been zero chance of him deterring Derek Chisora'.
I actually think Chisora would push Tyson Fury more so now, compared to when they last met.
Fury would likely stop him late or beat him 12-0. I don’t think he knocks him out with 1 punch but u could see him forcing a stoppage once AJ inevitably gases.
100% yes. Fury can KO anyone. People jump on the "no power" criticism, because it is the only ***** in his armour, or so it seems. Fury at around 50% had moments against Deontay Wilder where he could have looked for the KO if he had only stepped it up a little. In the rematch we may well get to see him chasing the stoppage. Fury having no power is a myth.
I feel AJ in particular is tailor-made for Tyson. AJ really is like a robot, he wouldn't know what to do when faced with the unorthodox style and boxing expertise of someone like Tyson Fury. Wilder at least had the great equaliser to make it interesting. AJ would be hitting air all night, get too scared to throw any combos because he'd be getting pummelled, and it would become absolutely brutal. Think Floyd-Gatti but on an XXL scale.
He could and would
Fury can bang when he sits down on his shots, which he doesn’t do much. He has roughly the same KO% as some supposed punchers like Povetkin and Whyte.
It’s just he rarely sits down on his shots because he’s always moving against punchers but his style would have AJ gassed by the middle of the fight, then Fury would start planting his feet more and knock him out.
LMAO. Fury can't even knock a wank out.
AJ will beat him from pillar to post if he ever tries to go for a knock out when they meet.
But I can see Fury knocking out Wilder because Wilder is chinny.
He almost got Wilder out of there and I am sure he will in the rematch.
