There was this narrative going around here from Wilder fans of supposedly Tyson Fury ducking the Wilder rematch by signing with Bob Arum. Well now that the rematch has been signed that narrative goes out the window doesn't it?
All this BS of Fury being afraid to get hit again by the power of Wilder and all that. I must admit it surprised me as well. But I always thought Fury was just doing the logical thing chasing the big money deal. I knew he would never duck Wilder. Very curious how this whole thing will work out.
I'm guessing a co-promotional deal. That promises big things for the future. Al and Bob working together for big fights. Spence Vs Crawford anyone?! Let's hope for a better relationship between the two so fights can be made.
War Gypo! All you guys accusing him of ducking should apologize in this thread btw. Curt Henning get your ass in here! (Somebody tag his @ss)

I've checked Fury's accounts on Tweeter and Instagram... So far, there's not a single word about a signed and sealed rematch...
I remember Ben Davison saying they would like another fight rather than the immediate rematch.
Fury wasn’t 100% v Wilder. There’s no way he could’ve been after all that weight loss and no break for a year. I think they were keen to have a break and working on building strength up now the weight is off.
100%
that's what happened.
Still cringe to hear Fury bigging up Tom Schwartz and calling other people names.
technically it was a duck but it was a wise move that we should understand, if it was wilder who did it imagine the threads you would be making lol TIL THIS DAY yo azz would be making threads. Wilder is doing big things... 2020-2021 will be interesting and good years hopefully! none of these guys are ducking each other by the way, its just business which sucks for us, lets just enjoy what little good things we have going in the HW division while we can.
But Wilder has just ducked AJ. He's now fighting a rematch no one cares about. So I have no idea what you're talking about when you say "You'd be making threads about it till this day".
Honest opinion on why they are freezing joshua out? That's just they way i see it.
Because they're cowards who don't believe they can beat him.
Fury believes he can beat Wilder just like he did last time out. Wilder only fought him though because he was in a bad way and coming off 3 years of doing drugs and shlt and getting obese. Wilder can't duck now because that would be too much for his already pathetic reputation. He's sees Fury as the easier of the two.
Simple.
Nobody wants to go in to a joshua fight with an unfair advantage (not being allowed to take PEDS) so fighters won't fight him unless they are bum looking for pay or an old man on the way out.
You use this account just to say the same thing over and over? What's wrong, knowing Wilder is an absolute coward is hurting your little mind? Diddums.
Prove what you're saying. Oh wait, you can't. You're just a bitter and poisonous American letting us know how much of a b1tch you are. Don't worry, we already know.

Well the fight will still probably take place a year later than it should have of were being honest....we, and Wilder, called for it to be immediate
I've never had a problem with fury...hes not a puss and afraid to tell it as he sees it......good on him tho....I hope this goes through for sure ......I didn't say fury would never fight him again...in fact I kinda figured 2020 it would happen....but I didn't expect an announcement on it already that's for sure
Good on both these guys...let's hope it all works out

Fury is now set to have two more fights, and there's nothing that's been said by Bob Arum yet (Frank Warren is Fury's promoter, but I doubt he has first say over bouts I the US and this fight isn't heading to the UK).
10 months is a long time to give Arum space to **** things up is all I'm saying.

WoW!!!!! You must be a winner but just to be sure I am guessing this is a :
TOP ten most stupid post of all times!
Wilder and Fury probably don't get enough credit for making their first fight happen so smoothly. Even years ago when they met in the center the ring it seemed like it wasn't going to be hard to make a fight between them, they singled each other out; they seem to really get a kick out of one another. Extra money got involved that's all

Building profile more important than building strength imo. You don't sign a multi fight deal and make the big fight first.
I'm a Fury fan, it's clear that Tyson decided with his team to have 2-3 gimme fights before taking on Wilder again.

Bro he just took big money from ESPN and he is fighting Wilder next year! Excellent strategy. No dodgy scorecards from PBC on a co-promotional fight.
And that's why I'm saying it's business. It's always business.
He turned down a fight. Now he's taking it (maybe - there's a bit to go until it's official).
If Joshua and Wilder/Fury fight in 2022 is it excellent strategy? Or is it marinating? Was it still ducking in 2018/2019?
Too many people live solely in today's news. Fights are the only days that matter and you judge a career over the long term.
Gut feel has always said the Joshua fight happens when it's time to cash out. Recent history tells us that's what happens.
