They get taken off their feet and dropped hard, by monster punchers, but equally by moderate punchers, and yet seem to recuperate so quickly...normally guys show a consistency throughout their career as in that fighter wouldnt get dropped by an average puncher but then they get to a certain level of puncher and if they get hit they stay hit.
But these two maintained that amazing recovery even against killers. Amazing conditioning and recuperative powers, almost not human. You could prob throw Tim Bradley in this category too.
Are we really going to compare Fury taking punches from heavyweights to Marquez taking punches from much smaller men?
If a heavyweight hit Marquez flush, i'm certain he'd be put in to a coma
It’s all relative to size though
Its psychological. The very best push through the survival instinct and go to great places most of us will never comprehend or experience. I think adrenaline has something to do with it. Maybe they can utilise it better then most.
Yeah when he was “getting back into training” after his huge layoff he tweeted a pic of his fatass doing road work with a ****ing log on his shoulders and I just thought “that’s gotta he 500lbs on his legs!”
Running builds heart. And damn man that's crazy about the log.
Never knew that but not surprised. As long as u r not out cold, your legs can keep u in a fight.

people who come from fighting backgrounds recover faster, they are raised in this sport and molded by it
This. Fury has been getting punched in the face since he was 5 yrs old.
Marquez always fought with his feet too far apart but his beautiful combination punching & recovery abilities offset that.
Fury fights too relaxed at times and has these lapses in concentration.
But too his credit, he recovers well & has the heart of lion.
Fury too, he does a lot of running up the hills in Lancaster which is tough going

Its the legs man. Good ole roadwork at least for Marquez & Bradley.

I think these are both good answers actually, one answers some of the physical aspect and the other the mental side. All 3 of those guys were born and bred in fighting.
Bradley was pretty much ko'd standing up in that Provodnikov fight and that fool was still swinging!
I still can't believe Montiel got knocked down, had a seizure and still beat the count.
That is pretty ****ing amazing actually...I think it coming early in the fight prob helped but even still that is abnormal recovery
