I'm on the fence and have legitimate questions about that excuse for boxers popping for PHD.
1. Why do these guys get pop for it and never get pop again? Do they not train/eat in Mexico anymore?
2. If it's such a known problem in Mexico, how come these athletes don't take their diet more serious?
I really wish Santa Cruz would starting holding his camps in Mexico. Don't get me wrong I like watching him outbox his opponents but I miss the KO's he had at the lower weights.
Good one!:lol1:
Yep.. Some power would help.
Who cares about tif seals. My point is Mexican athletes have been using the same excuse for years. Can u deny that? Anyone in the sports industry, especially from Mexico should know better. Quit justifying ur hero getting caught cheating. He's no better than, saunders or Miller.
you are refuting my point, and i was clearly referring to TIF seals, not the clen problem alone... if you are going to quote me then do it for what i wrote or else save your self some time and dont even bother...
you have reading comprehension problems, i never said tainted meat was a new problem, what is new is the corruption on the TIF seals... Proceso magazine made a very good investigation on the topic and they are the ones that discovered the corruption behind some(a few) of the inspectors...
that was a big hit to our previous president...

I can BS. Mexican soccer players have been using that excuse for at least 10 years. If ur at the top of the game like canelo is u know better. U expect me to believe he checks out everything he eats and drinks but somehow didn't know "tainted meat" is a problem in Mexico. In his home country that has had athletes using that same excuse for years. He got caught slipping and that's all there is to it. U might not want to accept it, but it's the truth. And saying that Mexico only found out about that problem after canelo is just an out right lie. If u want links to proof that it's such a wide spread excuse I'll even provide u with some, but u can easily Google it urself.

many people never wear seatbelts until they get involved on an accident, then after that they take necessary precautions...
rich athletes think that eating in fancy restaurants and buying TIF(inspected meat) is safe, in theory it should be , 95% of the time its safe, but when you are out of luck and that 5 % gets you, then its all ****ed up...
in mexico we just found out that there was corruption behind the TIF seals after the canelo incident... anyone could test positive anytime unless you become vegan...

2. If it's such a known problem in Mexico, how come these athletes don't take their diet more serious? The obvious answer is once they get popped for it they are more careful what they eat. Of course they still train and eat in Mexico. They just don't eat Mexican beef anymore. Lots of other meats work as well as beef. Lamb, chicken and fish are all sources of high quality protein. They can also bring in beef from the states to train on.

We need more Doctors of Philosophy in boxing.
Canelo doesn't even eat beef in training camp, only chicken so why we talk about beef?
I'm not saying beef or pointing out Canelo specifically, I was talking about the broader picture about mexico and how a lot of their athletes gets pop for clen.
