If AJ don"t offer 50-50 now, that's a huge duck and nothing but a duck. Wilder may be the biggest name in boxing right now. You have to make this fight now if you're Hearn and AJ.
That's called creating a buzz and drawing interest to a fight and boxing. It's not a bad thing, trust me.
As to who is actually better, we'll find out after they fight. You do want to see them fight right? I think you might be happy just thinking AJ is better though. Lol.
F**k that! I absolutely am chomping at the bit to see them fight.
I know that Wilder is a dangerous opponent for anyone, and it will be an interesting fight when and if it happens. I got Joshua stopping him mid to late. There is no doubt Joshua will respect that power, so he will be cautious and box.
I am just sick of Wilder speaking in riddles and not meaning what he spouts. It's always ambiguous s**t like "the heavyweight division is lit right now" and so on.
We see right through that BS in the UK. Say what you mean and mean what you say, no more riddles and bs. Say you want the fight, then make an earnest attempt to meet and discuss and put it on. Hearn will be in New York next week, with Joshua. Let's hear Wilder say that he wants all people around the table after June 1st to make a deal.
I doubt he'd say that though, it will be more of "we'd love to fight AJ, and hopefully that fight can happen in the future."
STFU with the semantics and make the deal dickhead.
It's probably not hard to figure out. Pick one of the best opponents available, create some hype, deliver a spectacular KO. Who isn't gonna want to see more of that?
Dominic Breazeale... one of the best opponents available. Okay mate. Maybe lay off the cool aid?
Dominic Breazeale was always nothing more than a stationary punch bag. He was a punch bag when Joshua knocked him from pillar to post in his 17th professional fight and he's a punch bag now. Knocking him out doesn't elevate anyone to superstar status.
You don't earn a 50-50 split based on how spectacular your knockouts are. Unless Wilder starts generating the same kind of revenue that Joshua does he won't get 50-50. What a stupid thread.
Why have they waited so long to start doing this? But to say his value has risen to the point he can demand 50-50 with Anthony Joshua surely he should be doing similar sales or making similar money. Can we really be demanding 50-50 when one side is earning so much more than the other? Can we really ask for it based on what you may do in the future but havnt done in the past and are not doing now.
I dont care if they give it them but each and every time the numbers come in regards to both fighters it shows there is a clear A side and that is Anthony Joshua. Why cant Wilder accept that? Yes between them they make for a much bigger fight but surely A side and B side status can be kept by a proportional percentage split.
You can say AJ just accept the demands to get the fight made but the one being a bit unreasonable is the clear B side Deontay Wilder. I think the pressure should be on Wilder to wind in the ego a bit and be more reasonable rather than Joshua being expected to bow to Wilders stubborn and egotistical demands.
After Wilder beat Stiverne the first time, I knew he could be the best. If you're just catching on, well I guess its better late than never.
I knew this would happen.
Wilder up first, wins, Wilderettes go crazy with even more hype.
Joshua next, wins, normal service resumed.
Dude, there is simply no comparison. Joshua is a better fighter and massively bigger commercial success.
Calm down Wilders, let's only get excited if he stops ducking.

It's been a 50/50 fight a long time ago. By late Fall of next year the purse split may even sway in Deontay Wilder's favor because he'll have more leverage and hold more cards at the bargaining table by then.

Hell No!
He is going to get 50/50 though because it is too much money to be made from it so AJ and Hearn will cave in to those demands. Not only that but their Divisions is SH#T, neither have many other options. It is AJ, Wilder, Fury...and the rest of the Divisions!
Their only big fights are with each other and that is it as of right now!

Sounds like Finkel and Wilder know what they are doing.

The buzz Wilder generated makes this fight 50-50 and AJ will still get more than he would have gotten had the fight taken place previously at 60-40 his favor. The whole event is way more valuable now.

That's right
No because Dominic was never good to begin with and currently is not even in the top 10. Was another overhyped PBC fighter.
They tried to make this a big fight but DM just doesn't have any kind of speed. He is tough and can take a good punch but he is slow as molasses.
Why doesn't he take 60-40 knock out AJ and then he'll have all 4 belts and he's the A side in any rematch, if there was one.
The way they act the AJ fight is, for Wilder's team, a lottery win and they want the biggest jackpot possible.
He wasn't, still isn't and will never be worth 50/50 but he may well get it. But then it wasnt long ago Eddie Hearn said they may have to go 50/50 and that's when finkel started talking about 2020 and 2021 and mentioning the in house fights they got lined up.

OK lets talk PPV money. How many PPV did it sell? :dunce::lol1:
Wilder VS AJ hasn't happened yet (are you stupid?) It's gonna sell a lot though, bro. Trust me.

Lol. Keep the ticket sales. We're talking PPV money.
Do you know who else didn't do well at the box office? Floyd. He still managed to earn some pretty big paychecks though and was always the A side after his fight with Oscar.
Wilder is the biggest name in boxing right now. Who isn't talking about this guy?
Yeah..... He still fight on free TV doe.
