Canelo and his team will do whatever is possible to weaken his opponents as much as possible, if its creating their own weightclasses, making weight limits, rehydration limits etc. Obvsiously theres a huge difference between the Jacobs who fought GGG and the Jacobs who will fight Canelo. One was a very well rehydrated lightheavyweight who almost had 2 days to rehydrate, this one will be a drained, weakened middleweight.
apparently rocky fielding had a rehydration cluase of 168 so he coudlnt gain any weight. thats why he was completely dead and knocked out easily. we all know rocky is made of iron
Damn, that's even worse. This cheating chica cheats across all fields, across all weight divisions...including creating her own. She and Spencer, and Wildman are the most protected, fabricated boxers in the sport. :boxing:
Clenela just fought at 168, why does she need any re-hydration clause to fight a 160 pound fighter? Just another way to rig the fight before it starts.

He just did it for Derevyenchenko WTF is the problem?
I like Danny but stop with the b!tching about weight PLEASE! It honestly makes it seems like he already has doubt coming in and that is never GOOD!
he didn't look too good in that fight
It matters greatly otherwise Canelo wouldn't have had it put in there.
This shows how pathetic Canelo really is. How he can consider himself an honourable warrior I don't know. All it does is expose him as being a pampered littler woman. Add everything else in that he gets away with and you have the biggest b1tch in all of boxing to go alongside Wilder. I'd be embarrassed if I were him.
Originally was $250k a pound but got whittled down to $100k from what I just read. Does Nelo weigh in too? I mean he must or it’s be s handicap right? it’s for 8am weigh in. I’m glad it’s not late in the afternoon. The part that’s is gonna suck is thinking about it all night, and having to get up even earlier if he has to cut again. But if Hearn is gonna pay that’s a load off the team. I don’t see Jacobs weighing too much over that early in the morning. But these clauses are made by the A side to give the B side more to deal with especially if the B will most likely have the weight advantage. If Nelo thought he’d be heavier than his opponent it’s not like the courtesy is offered in reverse. The perks of being the cash cow.
Yea I've heard people say its 100k too.
Idk wtf it really is but I tend to lean towards to being higher than $100k. Just cuz $100k ain't THAT f#cking much in a multimillion dollar fight like this one.
I mean there is a huge difference between paying half a mill to come in 5lbs over vs paying $1.5M or $2.5M. Might be worth it to come in 5lbs over if its only half a mill penalty. Lil more sketchy to do it when its 3x or 5x that amount. dont know man, now somebody on espndeportes said that if hearn pays 1mil jacobs will be free to rehydrate as much as he wants... but they keep bringing hern as the one paying for the fine..
I hard it was $300k/per lb, but I forgot where I heard it lol. Probably a podcast.
But either way its a nice chunk of change.
per TVAzteca it is $100k and also Hern said he will pay whatever is needed for jacobs to feel comftarble... the weigh in will be at 8:00 AM...
Love how someone else's problem is so expectable to you lol.
Not sure what you're attempting to say here. The 2nd day weigh-in will not prevent Jacobs from reaching his normal in-the-ring weight, which is normally in the high 170s-180; it may require him to arise earlier than usual.
Besides, if you take a look at what 10 lbs actually are and let's assume he has 2 meals after the first weigh in, one big right after the weigh in and one small before he goes to bed, these 2 meals could be 3-4 lbs in total, which is actually a lot of freaking food, and 6-7 lbs of Gatorade/water/IV, which is like 3 liters or 0.8 Gallons, which is really a lot for that time period.
All of this is assuming that all of that stays in the body which never happens, the body burns up a bit of that food especially if you're in a good shape, your digestive system will process the food and get rid of a significant portion of it by the 2nd weigh in (the good ol morning dump) and the kidneys will create urine and get rid of some water weight again too. Sweat and CO2 exhalation during night sleep will get rid of some lbs too.
So he can actually consume like 12+ lbs of food and water after the first weigh in and still make weight for the 2nd weigh in. Then he can still have a solid breakfast right after the 2nd weigh in, a solid lunch at like 2 and have like 2 liters of Gatorade/water/IV and com in there as high as 175 and he'll still look and perform well physically.
The real fight is now and has been going on for the past 8-10 weeks, which is getting down to 160 lbs from 180+ and that's almost done and he looked very good up until the last time we saw him some hours ago, no mood swings or nothing, he works with pros who know what they're doing and has been for all his recent fights and he seems to be a very disciplined balanced guy, so I wouldn't worry about that.
I don't think it's a big problem at all and if he doesn't feel good he's probably gonna skip it or come in a bit overweight and pay the fine, he's making a lot of money anyways.
He did it in his last fight though so I don't get why it should be a problem now. I think from the first weigh in till the 2nd, where u have like a 12 hour window, 10 lbs is enough and maybe 4-5 pounds after that in the 12 hour window between the 2nd weigh in and the fight and he's gonna be where he normally is at fight time. Main thing is that he gets a good night of sleep and maybe take a 2 hour nap or so after the 2nd weigh in and everything should be fine. No excuses if you ask me.

Only if it costs Jacobs sleep. He will still have 10-12 hours after the 2nd weigh-in in which to rehydrate and replenish glycogen.
Love how someone else's problem is so expectable to you lol.
He won the belt with the rule in place he should be able to defend it and according to many canelo detractors he rehydrate's to 190 after weighing in so the rule should actually help him if they swallow their own bs
Against Golovkin, it cost Jacobs a shot at a meaningless IBF title. But against Canelo, it would cost him tons of money not to comply with the weight restrictions.
So, I'm thinking it matters to the Goldenboy side to keep Jacobs from being too rehydrated in the ring.
i heard on espn deportes that it was 500k per pound...
is doable considering how much he is getting paid for the fight...
that being said, the wbc also has a weigh in on fight night where they cant weight more than 10%, so if jacobs plans to follow the rules it might not even make a difference...
Do you think it matters? I do.
