OK Gentlemen... now obviously we got Canelo vs Jacobs for this weekend, but we also got what I think could be a hell of a fight with Beterbiev vs Kalajdzic. Now - boxrec warriors - please don't be put off by Radivoje's relatively thin resume and low Boxrec ranking (dudes at like #55) this dude can fight. His lone L is at the hands of Marcus Browne who is regarded as one of the hot tickets in the division, but - and here's the kicker - many felt he deserved the nod in that fight:
Now. If that one doesn't float your boats (and I think it's gonna be a corker) we also potentially could look at Jerwin Ancajas v Ryuichi Funai or Ilunga Makabu v Mike Perez both of which are promising..
Make your will known gents - you only gonna get what you ask for.:boxing:
Okay - just gonna bump this baby a coupla more times then call it a wrap. I think it'll be a good fight but right now it's not really looking like there's enough interest to make it a PICK EM.
K
I think the Makabu v Perez fight is off? Shame
View this post on Instagram I'm so sorry to say that the fight which was meant to happen on the 4th of May in Kinshasa has been postponed due to my opponents injury. I will announce the new date in the coming weeks. A post shared by MIKE PEREZ (@mike_perez_official) on Apr 24, 2019 at 11:31am PDT
Shame, man, I was quite looking forward to that one - always had a soft spot for Perez, but damn if he doesn't look like he could fight at 175 in that pic - dude's only like 6'1". Hard to imagine he was fighting at 240 or so a few years back.

I say nah. This is a bs-ish fight with Beterbiev a -1100 favorite (or about 91% to win) & Hot Rod a +700 dog (or about 12% to win). I don't think so many wide fights should be a part of the game.
That's definitely a valid reason - my point is that I think the bookies may have it wrong... real, real hard to tell though. Hot Rod ain't fought anyone worth a damn since Browne 3 years ago, but then Artur ain't really done much either - cept he's 34 whilst Kalajdzic is just entering his physical prime. We've seen Beterbiev legit hurt by a guy I consider inferior to Kalajdzic in Johnson and we seen Hot Rod in with a vicious aggressor in Browne. Ah - I'm sure you know the score though...
And man, I wish I could bring more fights that the bookies consider fairly even matches, but it's a sad commentary on the state of our sport that for the bigger names those kinda fights are few and far between. If it were just about what I think would make for the best Pick Em fights I'd be looking further down the food chain, but mainly I think folk want to see the bigger names even if it's in mismatches.
Beterbiev / Kaladzic is a Good fight but I voted to keep it out of the Pick 'em .
Mainly because of how backed up you guys are . Plus I doubt half the players ever even seen Kaladzic fight . Seems unnecessary to add to your work load.
It is a valid point, but things should be moving along shortly. Spent my free hours this weekend doing a crash course on spreadsheets and it's looking like I can speed up the leaderboard inputs massively so it's definitely an investment for the future. I'm going keep this thread bumped til Weds a.m (UK time) and I'll be looking for a threshold of 15 votes from regular players (we're currently on 2 - or one if you discount mine for Artur vs Hot Rod and 1 for Ancajas vs Funai) so the odds are against it anyway.

Beterbiev vs HotRod what a match up I got a close UD for Beterbiev but I can also see Beterbiev getting knocked out if he's careless like his last fight.
